Great demo for this water filter system. I was raised on well water and mr grandparent lived a mile away, they had well water also. I really disliked the water at my grandparent but no where near the horrid taste of city water.
I'll definately check out this system...again thank you very much for the demonstration video! ❤

Thanks for the great video. How often do you have to change the filter?

The manual says to change it on average about once a year, but if course, it also depends on how much you use it. The machine has an indicator on the front that lets you know the filter needs changed.

They both have good ratings. I emailed the company and asked what the difference is. I'll let you know what I find out. I did look online about the difference in the UV on the machine with heated water vs the Carbon filter on the machine with the carafe. What I found explained is that UV removes bacteria and viruses where the carbon removes chemicals. But with both machines, you also have reverse osmosis as well. I like both machines so I don't really have a preference. I'll be interested to see what I hear from my email.

@ thank you being on nasty city water now I’ve been lead to believe we should be using the UV one. Still researching also will be interested in what the company has to say. Thank you for responding so fast💕

I got a response from my email. Here's what they said. I hope it helps.
      Dear Linda,
Both water filters use reverse osmosis (RO) filtration systems, so their filtration capabilities are similar-they can remove up to 99% of contaminants and reduce TDS levels by about 90%-95%. The UV feature in the MATE4 model provides additional water sterilization.
The main differences between the two models lie in capacity, heating options, and included accessories. The Ecoviva MATE4 offers multiple temperature settings, making it ideal for those who prefer hot, warm, or room-temperature water on demand. In contrast, the Ecoviva 200G is suited for users who primarily drink room-temperature water or prefer to keep a carafe of water in the fridge for chilled water.
Ultimately, the choice depends on individual needs and preferences.
I hope this clarifies things! Please feel free to reach out if you have further questions.
