I always wondered how for "normal famous " guitarists there practice space looks a drummer need his space a Kirk Hammet of Metallica
probably has a house the sice of my neighborhood and thereforce dedicated rooms for it. But seeing these guys who certainly made some money with their music and shows and then having some normal setup´s i would say make them somehow more relatable for me. I saw some videos of periphery and jesus christs their houses are studio´s if you ask me.

I’m an old school Metalhead, I grew up listening Megadeth, Slayer, Black Sabbath, Motörhead, Suicidal Tendencies, Pantera etc. I’ve heard of these guys for years but never really listened to them. Seen this video a couple nights ago & I’ve been deep diving ever since! MIND-FUCKIN’-BLOWN!!! These guys are unreal musicians, such a tight, hard sound, just kicks you in the face!!
Their sound is unlike anything ive heard. There is a groove to it you wont hear anywhere else. Check the songs dead seeds and set to fail if you havent yet its so good.
Same. Been listening to metal for over 30 years and of course I’ve heard of Lamb of God but I never listened. My goodness have I been missing out. Close to my favourite band now. Art is a killer replacement for Chris. Respect to Chris but Art is a monster. Superb band!

Man had tickets for next month was so excited I saw lamb of god open for slayer last year and they put up a great show and I’ve never seen megadeth so it would’ve been my first time
I still have hope. There show for october 16th at the sprint center is still scheduled

I've never actually heard a Lamb of God song before. Thank you, Allmighty UA-cam Algorithm. You were correct that I would enjoy this immensely. These guys gave me a solid reminder me that metal didn't die with Cliff or Dimebag. This is heavier than the metal that I would normally listen, but this is oddly, somehow easy-listening.
You'll probably love most of their catalog then. Many songs are just as nice as these. Hope you check them out further. I've been a fan for like 12 years

The first time I saw LOG live was in 2005. I thought to myself, holy fuck they sound just like their albums, like a perfect match. That statement still stands 15 years later.

The guitars for Lamb of God remind me of a (very talented) child that just can't sit still. A few power chords and you think finally you can breathe and relax as the child sits down to watch some cartoons and then WHAM! nope. The child's almost immediately running round the house, spinning on the floor and hanging from a ceiling lamp as they break out the Riffs and arpeggios...constantly. :D

John Campbell is underrated man, his fingers stretch so goddamn far, and with so much speed and with much grace (pun intended). They’re all absolute monsters at what they play though of course, Jesus Christ just all so talented!
@Nemesis 86 he is not burried in the mix, it just so happened that with groove metal, you need to double the guitars riff per riff, note per note, just like how rex brown does in pantera.
He's a genuinely great guy as well. Met him, Willie and Art in the airport earlier this year. He actually introduced himself, "Hi, I'm John." I said I know who you are! He was honestly surprised that I would know who he was. Also played poker with him for a few hours and met his wife on this years Headbangers Cruise. Only reinforced my opinion of him. Huge talent and just as down to earth as you could find. 🤘🤘

Art was a beast before joining Lamb Of God, but you can tell now that he got the "groove" of Adler's drum parts. Chris Adler can't be replaced, but Art is killing it. You can tell he has worked a lot. Kudos. Lamb of God is back!

Been listening to LOG since i was 14 years old and that was in 2007 . 2021 here i am 28 years old with a wife and a kitten , still headbanging to LOG . They may be getting old , but the positive power and the energetic vibes you get from listening to their songs are never LAID TO REST 🤟🏻🤟🏻🤟🏻

You get a very clean sound recording in a house with no PA or mixed effects. This is a very special kind of live sound. It could never be done in an arena.

Mad respect to Art for using Meinl cymbals. I love the sound of those cymbals more than any others I’ve heard.

Meinl is the epitome of cymbals. The brightness and cut of Paiste, and the warm, dark tones of Istanbul and other Turkish cymbal makers. Zildjian may be the most popular, but they don't even hold a candle to Meinl.
@Roop Singh Rai for me that was Matt Halpern who’s my 2nd favorite drummer behind Mario Duplantier. Many of my favorite drummers use Meinl cymbals. Brann Dailor,Cameron Losch,and Luke Holland as well. Matt Garstka (as you mentioned) and also Clay Aeschliman of Polyphia. Their cymbals sound so bright and clear it’s great.
Everyone was amazing! You guys have my RESPECT. And Randy, the vocals are unbelievable. Low growls followed by black screams. Thank you for giving such an amazing show. Art Cruz, you're a gem.

It's much heavier in my opinion than chris. His drums are tuned down instead of tightened to where it just sounds like his snare is a trash can lid. I like Arts drums better

while they both have distinct tonal and stylistic differences, they both hybrid pick. its a lot more than just the alternations of the picking hand. attack, legato timing, and guitar tone are all involved.
