J-Dawg (I-Dawg) always has a scowl. Every time he said "poser" I took a swig of PBR. I was drunk by the 3:57 mark.
Hell's has the best packaging.
Just went to see Defeated Sanity, Skeletal Remains and Vitriol the other night. It was a banger of a show but I definitely filled my speed meter. Did a heavy dose of death doom the last few days and it's been great.
Anvil - Metal On Metal mentions Denim and Leather , and Manowar - Kings of Metal mentioned Jeans and Leather. Vital Remains - Immortal Crusade doesn't mention Denim
Ritual and The Jillemnice Occultist are essential
Will probably be picking up that Kurnugia album. Liked what I heard and added it to my list.
It's commonly accepted that 2008 was the year that the smartphone took off properly and consequently a lot of other things shifted; music production, how we consume music and music designed for phones. The mobile phone was no longer just for making calls and text messages, it became a computer in your pocket. Movies, shopping, connected with people, it happened almost over night.
I worked with a guy who explained all this and studied it, and you can clearly see how in that year alone, music totally changed. It's no coincidence that Jway-Dawg changed the view point of music at that time.
Society as a whole changed a lot in 2008. The recession started, the housing crash, Obama being president. A ton of stuff happened that year.
Interesting, makes sense I don’t always think to zoom out and see how things span through years for gradual change. Have we made another landmark year of change since 2008 ? 2020 I imagine would be the assumed
@@ReaperMetalProductions 2020 is another important year for sure.
Wish they would re-release the first full-length
🤘👹🤘 Rigor Mortis
thanks for playing Gravewurm
The first Brain Drill album "Apocalyptic Feasting" is great, definitely worth a listen
I really like the title of that video, because it is exactly what happens to a devoted fan after years of bands and gigs and ...life in general, i was such an encyclopaedia about bands and now i barely remember what it was when it was, still i keep my tape collection in tact! Cheers from Bulgaria!
When I was like 14 I bought a gravewurm album because I liked the name. It went over my head at first .. then one day I got high enough to get it. Loved them ever since
I forgot more metal than you know lmfao 😂xDxD definltey a Dawg classic
Hells yeah! More stickers just sent to HH to hand out!
J-Dawg calls himself a geezer yet I'm impressed that a guy over a decade younger than me knows Hirax.
Dude certainly knows his shit. I dated a girl related to someone in his fam. It was always a blast to talk metal with him at fam gatherings (and I'm old...).
Katon is the man.
@@donaldcady3839 Fuck yeah!
@dinkins335 Hells yeah!
Vital Remains is essential for the speed discussion, new Obscura is pretty killer IMO
Gravewurm. Haven't heard that name in a bit. Cool riffs.
So, even though I sent in Origin and Brain Drill as fast death metal, I ALSO have 3 Metallica patches on my vest. Like 'Em All!
Origin are a great live band, even if I'm not a huge fan. Ive seen them twice and they blew me away both times.
Thomen Stauch is an incredible drummer and prime Blind Guardian is the best
Agreed
I find it quite hilarious that the I-Dawg joke is still going after this long. Also, since his taste and mine are fairly similar to a large degree, for the next episode, I would really be interested in hearing his thoughts on Necrophagia in regards to Season of the Dead vs Ready for Death (since Hells just reissued Season and Xtreem just reissued Ready for Death). For me, they are both good, with Season having a slightly more polished production. Ready for Death does have more of a raw sound to it and I also like the fact that even though there are some songs that were redone for Season, there are also some different tracks.
I pretty proud i could my hands on a Necrovore and a Von patch. Great talk as always.
I'll take that copy of Haunted if you guys don't want it! I've sold my copy years ago and regret it!
I've hated the name battle vest, since I first heard it years ago. It's a jean jacket vest. Period.
agreed dude, I don't know one person who called it a "battle vest" back in the day. Hell they don't even have to be vests, leave the sleeves on if you want.
I also agree with both of you. How many "battles" are these ass clowns participants in? Its like bros you're listening to records and standing around watching bands play. Was there bloodshed? Did people lose their possessions, land and or lives? No? Then STFU snowflakes. My dad wore a "battle vest",because he was in the service in fucking Korea, in a fucking war.
@@careful...Icarus Amen
It was just called a cut off denim in the U.K.

J-Dawg makes me want to turn my life around more than most idiots giving me life advice
JDawg is very skillful at wading straight thru bullshit and melting snowflakes.
world is over
@@primalmythic386No!!!!!!
All impetigo is fuckin great
"Battle vest" 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Always thought these two were brothers!
Hey Reaper when is Heavy Metal Relics coming back ? I've been watching the old episodes for the last few days i miss your show. it was really cool. We need a new bad hair video haha! later man
Am I evil was on creeping death ep. I had it. I'm old.
I love Hellcast man!!!
I remember really digging Atomizer off the old Hells comps. What on earth happened to that band? I liked how they did the black/thrash thing but with weird goth(?) vocals on some songs.
The vocal style anyway was kind of there before that album on Only Weapon of Choice
J-Dawg on a rant hell yeah support Texas rigamortis Texas trash hell
You guys get the tape I sent?
Just picked it up from the PO
Hey that was me who commented about J-dawg jamming the early blind guardian! Man I gotta truck in over to Cleveland so I can school some posers with you dudes at this Panini’s place your always talking about hahah I love the best discussion. For whatever reason, when I make videos on my channel showing off my patch vest/jacket, they perform super well. You guys should get J-Dawg to bring his jacket and vest and show it off on here that would be killer
Truck it over Paninis awaits! I will tell him to dust them off and bring over
All hail J-Dawg !!!
Expect package by Doomsday's Today Records next week... 😈👹👺🤘🤘🤘... extra goodies for legion !!! I think you may like the package and new flyers...
Pretty much making a vest is just putting on the bands you like and worship patches pins you can get fancy and stud it up and spike it yeah most be posers having to google it
I embrace all metalheads regardless of what bands they know. And if someone wants to wear some merch of some shit I like when they don't really enjoy it, fine. It's free advertising. At fhe same time I understand how people posing disrupts the social aspect of meeting other metalheads but you should be able to figure out if they're inauthentic pretty quick.
J dawg is great 👍
Metallica is just Diamond Head, Misfits, Motorhead, Judas Priest/ Saxon...
16:50 based upon what a person did . Goatlord villified But...
Country and rap music killed WAY more people.
