The one thing I learn from Carter is the most important: sound. Drumming begins with your ears, then your hands. A true musician behind the kit… I’d also add his love for old Ludwigs is the same as mine for old Sonors.
I've loved all your agop demos and most things I've heard from them in general, but these might just have to be my first agop purchase, they sound beautiful! That 21 in particular caught my ear
Interesting demo. In my dumb untrained ear, it seems like a good cymbal selection for studio work where the cymbals don't overpower the mix. Was listening in the background while working and it seemed like a balanced sound, cymbals get out of way fast. Gotta say, the difference in sound from the sparkle to black was great. Both unique and awesome drums (love my Ludwigs). As normal, great post. Thank you!
I'm not brand loyal and I'm usually more into solid heavier cymbals... I play a mix of Paiste and Zildjians which contrast nicely next to eachother but these really add a nice 3rd person view to that mix!! I might have to break the bank again!!
Love the cymbals and your delicate feel but the Club Dates sound awesome. I’ve tuned mine high and low but always go back to the single ply wide open higher tuning. Just a warm sound other construction don’t give.
Weird, in the "rock vibes" section, every time you hit the snare, it sounded like a dog was barking in the background. It's probably my laptop's crappy speakers. Fantastic playing, as always.
Carter, would you recommend these as rides for jazz/fusion? Or would the wash be too overpowering to hear any stick definition? Fantastic playing as always, thank you for putting out the best content!
Love your playing! Would you say that the 22 can function as a ride also or is it too trashy? I'm comparing this with the dry dark 22 ride, and what would your preference be as a ride cymbal between the two. Thank you so much!
Do you also play Paiste? I‘m curious about Istanbul Agop, but I do not think they have a showroom in Switzerland, so I might just get Paiste again, because I can try out most of their products in the showroom. Do you prefer the Istanbul Agop over other brands? If yes, do you get paid by them? Nice showcase. Also is that a Ludwig Supraphonic?
Your playing is always musical. The club date kit and the black Ludwig kit sound great. What model drum heads are you using on the black Ludwig kit and what type of muffling are you using on the toms? The drums sound great but you make them sound even better.
even the shaker drop was on time
😂😂😂
He’s not able to play a bad note a la Gadd 🔥👌🏽
Some haunted piece of percussion elegantly plays in time as it falls from the shelf at 3:40. Convincing demo as always, Carter!

These are great sounding and stellar playing as always! Would like to hear a comparison with the regular dry dark.
Love the sound of Rock kit with this Agop line…now to rewatch/slow-Mo the amazing single stroke fills
Those are amazing! I have always loved the Dry Darks so I’m super stoked for the Brilliants.
These sound amazing but it’s the player as much as the instrument! Great work once again sir!
The tiny extra bit of percussion at 3:40 is cool heheh.
Great sounding stuff...
Dear Carter,
Your drumming are so tasty and delicious, a great demonstration of class and elegance.
Thanks a lot for your art!
Great drums, great cymbals --and your playing is totally rad!! Thanks and cheers.
loved it - i could play two bars near the end - typical boom - chick rock beat! Thanks for sharing!
dark and present, 3.40 is great! your playing is always great! thanks
I've loved all your agop demos and most things I've heard from them in general, but these might just have to be my first agop purchase, they sound beautiful! That 21 in particular caught my ear
As always, I instantly want any gear he plays.
finally a set 15'' hats from this line, had been waiting for these since 2019
These are extremely Bright and Sparkly cymbals. That ride is sweet.💡🥁👏🏽❗
They’re actually both crashes!
@@LeakyJAZZ Ah... similar to a Crash- Ride cymbal.
Wow that's some thin cymbals. Lovely wash and articulation
Ohhhh my.. this is exciting. I love my dry darks but this fixes the only thing I don't like. Sometimes just too dark
these sound amazing ... keep rockin! i'd like to see you do some more rock/metal stuff
Great amazing cymbals. Very close to the sound Tony Williams caressed out of his K's. But, I LOVE those Ludwigs!
Defiantly purchasing that 22" crash! Thank you for the excellent demo.
great sounding cymbals and kits and you're playing, as always, is so damn tasteful.
These are dope! Seems like a a tad more sustain than the regular dark dry cymbals

Very interesting cymbals
Great stuff... 👍
The dry dark ride in brilliant finish and 24" size would be murdering good I'm sure
If I could only buy my way into this type of skill. Yes oh yes play on maestro
I'm not brand loyal and I'm usually more into solid heavier cymbals... I play a mix of Paiste and Zildjians which contrast nicely next to eachother but these really add a nice 3rd person view to that mix!! I might have to break the bank again!!
Brooks Wackerman plays a Dark Dry Brilliant crash in a setup of mostly more traditional sounding cymbals with a7x, the contrast is sick
Love the cymbals and your delicate feel but the Club Dates sound awesome. I’ve tuned mine high and low but always go back to the single ply wide open higher tuning. Just a warm sound other construction don’t give.
Do these cymbals crack easy? They look delicate. Can you rock on them some without worry? They sound AMAZING.
One of the few drummers who can turn solo drums into a real musical instrument
Just beautiful.
The 21” sounded good the regular line of dry dark sounds better in the other sizes
Just different…… not sure better
There is no 21" crash in the other line, just a 21" Ion dry dark ride
Weird, in the "rock vibes" section, every time you hit the snare, it sounded like a dog was barking in the background. It's probably my laptop's crappy speakers. Fantastic playing, as always.
Is it just the camera angle, or are these things so thin that they’re buckling under their own weight?
Yes VERY thin
@@cartermclean music to my ears. Good to know.
I thought the same thing, the main ride seemed miss shaped.
Carter, would you recommend these as rides for jazz/fusion? Or would the wash be too overpowering to hear any stick definition? Fantastic playing as always, thank you for putting out the best content!
"Very cool pies." Pie? Oh me, oh my! Who doesn't love pie?
Love your playing! Would you say that the 22 can function as a ride also or is it too trashy? I'm comparing this with the dry dark 22 ride, and what would your preference be as a ride cymbal between the two. Thank you so much!
0:14 conduzindo no crash 21 0:25 jazz
How did you record this? I love the sound!
Thanks mate! Grt way to start my day. It's gonna b a cracker. 🍻✌️
Where can we buy those new models ?
I'm getting Marcus Gilmore vibes from these cymbals, know what I mean ? He has a custom made K cymbal that sounds just like the 22
Love those cymbals! Side note: Is that 1965 Ludwig? If so, I've the snare that matches it. :)
Wow. Awesome de awesome. ... 😀
makes me want to play
I saw those in Istanbul agop’s youtube Chanell and And I didn't understand, it’s a new line? What is the difference?
These have a brilliant finish compared to the dry dark and they added some new sizes.
Musik Müller im Bern has a pretty nice collection of agops, that's usually where i try mine out ;)
Stellar.
My man. Do you have any of those brilliant 17" hats coming in a future video?
Your playing is always musical. The club date kit and the black Ludwig kit sound great. What model drum heads are you using on the black Ludwig kit and what type of muffling are you using on the toms? The drums sound great but you make them sound even better.
These cymbals seem to me nevertheless a little too thin and flabby to me. Wonder how they will Work in the Long Term use.
Those got the wobble
In Turkish, we say Maaşallah.
Wholly Fuck, WOW!
Sick
Great for jazz,Not for hardcore punk
@@RustyKnorr 👍🤩🥁😭
