Is An Ocean View Stateroom Worth the Money?

- Wondering if an ocean view cruise stateroom is worth the money compared to an interior stateroom? Here's a comparison of the two on Carnival's Excel class ship, Carnival Celebration, which is the same layout as the other two: Carnival Jubilee and Carnival Mardi Gras. Take a look at a Carnival Celebration interior stateroom compared to an ocean view. This is specifically a Carnival Celebration stateroom tour of interior stateroom 5416 and ocean view stateroom 4265.
Do you think an ocean view room, or a balcony room, is worth the extra cost compared to interiors?

I've tried all 4 room types and my least favorite is the inside room. I only book balcony rooms.
I've used interior, ocean view and balcony. That interior was too claustrophobic for me.
Do you prefer a balcony room? We cruised for the first time this month and had a balcony room. Im wondering if I would be comfortable without the balcony now.
Most people who get a Balcony don't like to do a lesser Stateroom like an ocean view or inside. We get inside Stateroom cause, yes, I'm frugal. I can't see us paying nearly 50% more for a Balcony. But each to their own.
@@TheRecon1a I will just have to try it and see. It's so much cheaper
@carly1478 Inside isn't for everyone if you get Closter phobic then don't and if ya have to have fresh air alot then don't. Otherwise save yourselves $200-$400pp and do inside. Use that savings on excursions and such.😊
We have been in a balcony 2 times and interior 5 times.. If you spend a lot of time in your cabin, a balcony might be desirable, if not, it's probably a waste of money. I also noticed that a balcony room is harder to keep cool on cruises that go to hot areas, and you might have neighbors that aren't very respectful of what they do on their balcony. I won't spend the extra for a balcony, but if the cruise line offers a free or real inexpensive upgrade, we will take it.. One thing nice about both balconies and ocean view is they usually have more sitting room, since they have a small sofa that interior rooms don't have.
I'm wondering if anyone has any official measurements of these cabins from older ships to newer ships.
That inside Stateroom looks smaller than their Dream & Vista class ship Staterooms.
Having been on all three classes, I would say definitely a lot smaller!
I wish you had said "Carnival Excell Class Ship" in the title to better describe the video content. The info in the video was great, but narrowly focused.
