Danny, when my husband of 27 years told me he didn't love me anymore and I had to find somewhere else to live, my heart broke into pieces. I was sitting at the dining room table listening to a Christian station and God played Tell Your Heart to Beat Again. I found courage, HOPE and the strength to go on at 60 years old. Thank you Danny for your prayers and music. God bless you and your family.

I’m with you. After 26 years of marriage my husband told me to find someplace else to live. That he is done with me. Absolutely devastating, really there are no words for the suffering inflicted, but… Jesus. How He loves us, how He provides for us. His promises are true and we truly can rely on Him to be our defender and comfort. I can’t tell you how many times I have imagined myself unzipping the heart of Jesus and climbing inside, literally making Him my refuge. Only He has kept me alive🦋

I will be seeing him Friday night. My bestie always wanted to see Danny in concert - I could never find one near us. She passed Christmas day 2022. It's going to be a hard concert without her there. Just know how much Danny's voice blessed her during her cancer journey. Miss her so much!

Can I share a poem with you from Gods heart to yours~ A bung eyed broken toy: I've been pulled along for far too long left dangling from a thread~ played with... discarded... my spring has sprung I am undone I am a broken toy... woe is me there is no hope how do I get back to me, myself who I was before..? I'm too sad to cry, too weak to hold a gaze I'm barely breathing~ I'm in despair and disrepair how did I get into this place a discarded broken toy..? I feel a tug I am picked up a lightness touches my heart, I finally cry a strangled noise from somewhere deep within... I am healed I know I am and I know... that it is God:)
I have loved Danny Gokey since he came out with "Hope In Front of Me." He is precious!
I first saw Danny on American Idol and voted for him every week and my family did also. I have seen him in concert and even got to talk to him briefly. Love him, Leyicet and his kids. Truly a soldier for the Lord. God bless him and all that he does.
I loved watching Danny Gokey on American Idol. He was one of my favorite. I was just so inspired by his story and his perseverance, and of course his phenomenal voice.

Danny put his arms around me and my wife before his concert in Jacksonville, FL. At the time he was one of my favorite rock star singers. Now he is my favorite for Worship. He is coming to Jacksonville, FL in January next year and we are going to hear him again and hug him.

Thank you for writing Tell Your H3art to Beat Again. It was a comfort to me when I had 3 miscarriages in 18 months. Saw Danny Gokey in concert on Thursday and was at peace throughout the song.
Be encouraged Karen. I've had 4 and I have 2 beautiful children now...a boy and a girl. I found scriptures that were related to parenting and childbearing...studied and spoke them over myself. God is with you. ❤🙏🏾

Overcome with grief in her distress she is pouring out her heart to you and has entered into your throne room with her persistent prayers, she is asking you for her loved ones... she is a praying mum! You are listening with such concern her face wet with tears as you listen to her plight, you loving hear her plea's... you know her story you know her life... you listen with a heart that cares as she as she pours out her heart to you and leaves all her worries at your feet! As she cries her tears pooling in her eyes produce small diamonds spilling down her cheeks you loving collect them with your fingertips as you wipe away her tears and thread them into a necklace placing them around her neck as she finally gets up lighter now and feeling
better she stands and sings a new song a melody ~ that you have given to her to help cheer her up for the day ahead. As she leaves your throne room her necklace catches in the light sending forth colourful sparkles as she moves... her gift from you` she is bejewelled, she is frosted in diamonds... she is loved*
Great interview, love you both. My 21 year old daughter met Danny back stage at kingdom bound in New York 5 years ago .. she was so excited to meet him with her mom .. we lost her a week later.. but will never forget his kindness and his anointing.. so grateful that her last weeks were so good

I had no idea you wrote that song, Randy! I have to tell you both, Danny and Randy, that THAT song kept me going when I was going through my divorce during 2015-2016. I was married for 21 years to a man that left me for another man...multiple men actually. We have a precious daughter who is a Jesus lover and worshipper with an amazing gift from God in her voice and piano playing. God revealed His great love for both my daughter and me in this song MANY times on the radio in the car. Believe it or not, but my college roommate had the very same thing happen to her and I was able to encourage her with your song...so THANK YOU for being obedient to the Lord in writing and performing this song!!! Love you both!!!

I’ve been blessed and can honestly say that PC and D got me hooked on Christian music in ‘95. I got to see you perform live with “ Can I get a witness?” As a weekend warrior, my brother and I played all of your cds as we remodeled and singing away…. Just blessed by God’s mercy amen. Then, Mr D I got to see when my knee was crushed and she knew how much I needed music in my life. You toured with Steven C Chapman and I was so mad that every time you got up to sing every one stood up and I couldn’t watch you perform…. So I remained seated and closed my eyes and let the spirit speak to me. Over a decade later, you still touch my heart with your music. Thank you both for this podcast. I needed this for healing. 💙💙🙏🏼🙏🏼
Glad to find this podcast!!! Ive been a Phills Craig & Dean fan for a long time. And am also a Danny Gokey fan! We lost our 24 yr old daughter 3 years ago...along with our twin grandbabies she was carrying... leaving her husband & 2 yr old behind. I feel like Danny's testimony would encourage my son-in-law so much.
I've heard "Tell your heart to beat again" many times, it brings me to tears. I feel like my heaet stopped that day... like I died.... and also started living again - because I had too. A whole new life... without Meg. Music is so powerful and I am very thankful for you're ministry.
I attended a worship conference in Vancouver WA. about 20 yrs ago and P C & D were the suprize guests. It was amazing!! I've never forgotten. Thank you.

Love this interview. I saw Danny Gokey on American Idol years ago and he sang so awesome. Awesome how God has worked in his life. Love the song " Tell Your Heart to Beat Again". He has an amazing voice. I also love Phillips, Craig & Dean's music.
What a blessing coming upon this podcast today. Before this year, I had heard of Danny Gokey, but hadn't really listened to his music. I did, however, listen to Phillips, Craig, and Dean in my late 20s and 30s. When I was a teenager, I was listening to Michael W. Smith, Amy Grant, David Meece, and Rich Mullins. Anyhow, I digress... this year has been a massive struggle and I stumbled on (God led me to) Danny Gokey's song "Stand in Faith." God spoke to me through that song, encouraged me to keep standing in faith. I'd grown weary... then I found "Stay Strong" and I have never heard any Christian artist write so transparently and honestly... about suffering and staying strong while you wait for a miracle here or He calls you home. It's almost taboo to have that stance (since many churches only teach "Jesus heals all now"), which does so much damage to those whose path is extremely difficult. I knew that Danny understood and I needed to hear that in that exact moment.
I didn't know about the book though... I too am a writer and released my first Christian contemporary novel this year. My prayer is that God will take the story He and I wrote together and change lives like you all are doing with your music. Blessings Randy and thank you for all the music that kept me moving forward in faith through my young adult years. Blessings Danny for being real and being you.
Sometimes, God chooses not to heal! We need to keep trusting God even when we don’t understand why.

My daughter got to go to Joyce Meyer’s women’s conference this weekend in San Antonio, and Danny Gokey was there singing with Natalie Grant. I didn’t get to go but was able to purchase a “ticket” where I was able to watch online. Their singing (and the others preaching, especially Mama Joyce and T D Jakes) blessed my socks off!!! I was going through a rough divorce, I had lost everything and I mean everything. And the Creator of the Universe gave me "the future and a hope", he gave me Scripture and a Song.
It changed my perspective, my vision and my purpose. It change who I was and it increased my faith 10 fold. GOD used that song for sure!

There doesn't seem to be any right words to be spoken to those grieving. I know when my daughter passed, the words actually made me angry, and I found no comfort in them. So as I've been around other people experiencing loss, I remember this. And then when my mom passed, I was reliving this again at such an over whelming grief I no longer had my strength here in earth... I have had to everyday keep my eyes on the Lord to move forward to not be so depressed and hurt and angry. So I'm very anti sympathy cards, or trying to speak any words of comforts, just a I'm here for you, and it remember is ok to scream, yell, kick, be angry, and want to not talk. Grief is your own personal journey, you need to do you, not what others have done.

My husband committed adultery and bigomy and left me and our 3 kids.I forgave him and raised our babies. Jesus has always been there for me and our kids.All those kids know Jesus and many of my grandchildren. what the enemy meant for evil,The Lord redeemed for good.
