remember when ventus first meet aqua and terra and they bombarded him with questions? It was too much at one time for ven so he past out. that may have been because he was still week from pulling out venitas, but what if he was haveing flash backs of him with the dandilayins at that time? its a stretch but it may be the case. "who was that man with you?" "are you good with a keyblade?" these questions may have triggered something in his mind.

The foretellers summon power (KHx: cards/KHUx: medals) from the FUTURE. Which is why Ven and the others appear as a card/medal.

I have a theory that the Realm of Sleep have some tricks with time, being so the Dandelions were scattered throughout time too and not just the new worlds, that's how Ven and we player (we can't be Ven since he's asleep and Maleficent talk about Sora and the others) came to the time where Sora and everyone else exists. But the Realm of Sleep is a realm that have always existed just like RoL, RoD, Realm In-between and Realm of Nothingness, or is it a realm that it's existence must be triggered? Like it only exists when one world falls to darkness. If it must be triggered, then we can assume that the book could also conjure a entire Realm? I got really confused about this book capabilities.
I swear, whenever we get an answer for Kingdom Hearts, more questions appear. But then, when we get something like this, even MORE questions surface. Great.... •~•

I remember someone theorizing Ventus' involvement in KHX / KHUx in a prior video, and this information makes their theory all the more plausible: Ventus is reliving the memories/events of KHX / KHUx in his coma, since he was a vessel of the X-Blade (an incarnation of Kingdom Hearts, the heart of all worlds).

In a recent review Nomura told that at some point in Unchained X we will meet not only Ventus, but those 2 keyblade weilders in the background. So we have our player, Ephemer, Skuld, Ventus and those 2. So in total it'll be 6.
Ventus, Epehmer and Skuld. Again a protagonist trio. 2 guys and 1 girl. Again.

if you know Japanese, Sora= Sky, Riku=Land, and Kai from Kairi means ocean. also, in elemental context, Aqua= water, terra= earth, ventus= wind (only lacking fire there, but water earth wind already a solid trio. Ephemera= Ephemeral (English:, meaning lasting shortly), Skuld (Norse, meaning debt or future), and Ventus , other than wind, could also mean rumor or favor. Also, in the original Norse myth, Skuld is the youngest sister, where the eldest sister Uld is fate itself and middle sister Verdandi is present.

+GODofHrtBrk: Not likely that Luxu is Ventus, seeing that Xehanort has the jeyblade in bbs, and ventus doesn't. Luxu is also taller than Gula slightly, whom is almost identical in height to ventus.
regarding the coma theory. in BBS, ventus was in a coma after xenahort... err... xehanort separated vanitas from him. he woke up sometime later. then bbs ends with him being in another coma as a result of destroying the x blade.

then X and Unchained X comes along, and surprise, surprise he's involved. lol! He was going to make the X blade, of course he'd be involved.
Both times, Ventus went into a coma because his heart had been fractured. The first time: the darkness being extracted, leaving only the light fragment. The second time: destroying the X-blade which was made from his heart (according to Vanitas). But extracting the darkness to create Vanitas was Xehanort's back-up plan- originally, Xehanort wanted Ventus to use the darkness, and somehow that would produce the X-blade.
Xael those times could be him in a coma for the second and third time. Lol! Maybe Sora got his laziness after he went inside Sora's heart to recuperate :p
Don't know if its been said but throwing it out there, what if Ventus, Ephemera and Scald the original trio (possibly representing light, darkness and a state of in between) and the reason why he bonds with Terra and Aqua is because it feels 'similar' to him? Looking at the other two trios; Sora, Kairi and Riku all came together whilst they were young and therefore grew up together on the island/s while Axel/Lea, Roxas and Xion bonded around the same time, although I wouldn't really count them. Terra and Aqua were assumably training together for a long time beforehand and are therefore closer in age compared to Ventus who kind of just appeared. Would also explain why the other two bodies are just sketches in the artwork as they could be Terra and Aqua and therefore Ventus being in the middle would be indicating how he's the link between the two groups. Hell, I would say Ventus, Ephemera and Scald are probably all around the same age which would emphasise that their a group of friends even more.

I've been playing multiple Kingdom Hearts games, hoping for Ventus to return in Kingdom Hearts 3. Hearing that he might have a backstory greater than the one already told... I WANT THIS GAME!!!!
so if ventus is main point that the KH story started on then what happened to Skuld and Ephimara where did they drop out of the story after leaving Daybreak Town to travel the world could Maleficent captured them and that's why she knows about KH through them ... and is it possible that the 2 character that has there faces undrawn yet be Terra and Aqua or the guys that are possibly a KB wielders supporting Xenohort from the shadows to have another KB wars but on a smaller version with higher level than his first try with ventus , terra and aqua

well when Ventus popped up at Daybreak Town and first met Aqua and Terra. They did ask where he was from and all but he couldn't give them an answer. So him being a dandelion makes since to me

My worst fear now, like Ava's: rogue wielders after the dandelions as they escape. Some may have heard, and try to stop them, or taint them, luring them to fight. A good concept for a playable secret episode. Until then, so much to worry about.
Still the most intresting theory has to be thats its all in Soras head. I mean look at the weapons some of the member from the organisation 13. A BOOK and A GUITAR.
notice vanitas and terra plus riku have the eye of darkness on there keyblade terras original keyblade resembles the Foreteller of orcas and vanitas although apart of ventus has it as well so does riku those three could be connected all gonna be vessels all have deep darkness and a lot of light
I'm actually so excited about this, Ventus is one of my favourite characters and I really hope his origin story will soon be explained.
You know, I always had a theory that he was in Vulpis (and that he had somewhat of a connection to Xehanort), got injured, and that Xehanort saved him before he was killed so Ven would be safe, but later on used Ven as a test subject. Just my own little headcanon

i like to think of ventus as the player in khx and khux because thinking about it if ventus = roxas as the same person then they have been in both kh1 and kh2 secret endings.
I think since Chi and Unchained Chi are occuring actually in present time of the story progression (Maleficent uses the Book of Prophecies to create the Data Scape we are currently in the games and it's not the actual events of the Keyblade War), Ventus is actually Ephemera as an avatar. Since he's in sleep mode himself, I believe he somehow entered the data scape and is looking for answers. It would also make sense given he's exploring a lot of places and locations as if he already knows the events and is trying to piece together what Maleficent is up to. I also believe Skuld is possibly Kairi given she is seen as a goddess of light by the player in the end of Chi... I think Yen Sid may have sent her in there to find answers as well and possibly find Ventus.
As hmk few weeks back already have a theory about this.
actually when he's heart was split the by xanort he was comatose and a amnesic afterwards and there's a lot of his back story that didn't make sense like why xanort was training him or how they met why xanort seemed to pity and or regret how badly splitting his heart had gone
ok so i have a weird and out there theory about Ventus's origin. What if the player you make in Unchained Chi is actually Ventus and you go along playing as him as we recently discovered that the main character became a dandelion so it could make sense. Plus all the sleeping theory from this video could potentially place him at the time of the current kh timeline with sora and the others. Now as to Ventus's actual look, my best guess is they just let everyone create their own look for individuality and the current look on him is Ventus's actual and model. Plus it makes sense since the main X Chi character was good friends with Skuld and Ephimera and saw them at the end of Chi and most likely left with them as well. Perhaps somewhere along the years they could have been seperated or gone their seperate ways to become masters or something. but it would explain why ventus would be portrayed among Skulp and ephimera. Idk just going out on a limb here. Reply if you think this makes sense or have anything to add to this i really wanna know what the kh community thinks on this!
I was thinking that ventus awoke after escaping the keyblade war, and he somehow knew who master Luxu was so since Xehanort had the same keyblade he assumed it was him and trained under him. When it shows Xehanort training ventus i dont think he said master Xehanort i think he just said master. Also later on he is told that his name is Xehanort but doesn't really recognize him and his memory is fuzzy because of his heart bejng split so he was steering clear from him during Terra and Aqua's mark of mastery exam.
Are we going to have to wait another year to get the full sketch?
Maybe we'll get it for the 1st anniverssary of the international version.
You have to remember Ventus had suppressed memories of xehanort when he was his master and when you get those memories back after you visit destiny island you obtain a keyblade called Lost memory.

Hey GamersJoint i have a better question, if kh3, has Aqua, Terra and Ven reunited in physical form, what happens with sora's ability in using the keyblade? Like, isnt that why he's able to wield? Aside of course his heart and his friends being his strength, but what happens if it goes that route? Could it mean the end of sora as a keyblade wielder?

I think Ventus conscience found its way into unchained while he was in his coma and in unchained time flows differently similar to the realm of darkness. hence why maleficient could appear at the same time as our hero and knowing about sora
The ORIGIN of Ventus is still unknown. Like...how did he end up being the Chi Blade? So Unchained Chi being BASED on what Ventus is dreaming and seeing the Keyblade war from the eyes of a certain Keyblade Weilder.
he has the X blade because one of the ways to forge it is to have two equally strong hearts one of light one of darkness face eachother. Once those two people come together the chi blade will forge. hence why xehanort split ventus' light and darkness. However this is not the true way to forge the X blade because you need 13 darknesses and 7 lights.

I just noticed cuz of the video the X-blade is formed using ventus, but with this theory Ventus might be connected to X/UnchainedX. Soooo what does the X even stand for or mean? That could help with his connection to both items

seems if people are in other realms then they don't age, cos Aqua hasn't changed, Ven hasn't changed (while sleeping) Ven was in the dream world, got taken out of it by xehanort, then his heart went to sleep and he went back to the dream world, or something like that
well aqua is different, because times flows differently in the realm of darkness. DiZ stated that in the secret reports
so is time different in the chamber of waking, cos Ven hasn't changed since being there
Xaric well we don't know that for sure. it could be because his body is detatched from his heart, it might be because his heart is asleep which would be seperate situation from him being in the chamber. Or it could be that Ven has aged and there simply wasn't an updated model made for that 10 second cutscene.

my theory has been that Skuld & Ephemera were the Original Pure Light & Pure Darkness that made the X-Blade, and when it broke it effected those 2 as well! and that eventually in KHuX 2nd Season, us, the Player become mortally insured, and out Broken Heart combines with Skuld & Ephemera's Broken Hearts creating a Brand New Being - Ventus!
this might also explain why Xehanort needed HIM specifically to remake the X-Blade!!?!

I wonder...we all know the 5 foretellers have a possible connection to kari, riku, terra, aqua, and ven, (if ven is from KHUX maybe he could a distant relative of Leopardus or something) and luxu may have a connection to sora, so what if something happens to the kingdom key and xehanort finnaly forges the X-blade what if luxu's keyblade leaves xehanort and goes too sora?
Maybe a bit late but could this be connected to the end of KH3D, when Ven is shown smiling after sora goes and thanks the dream eaters?

Listen to my theory: the keyblade war happened because everyone wanted the ligth for itself. seen what was going to happen, the master of masters let this occur because it was the way to get the x-blade. He wanted the infity power of kingdom hearts. But, as soon as he got the x-blade he saw how the world was trashed up, almost destroyed. yes, the master had selfish intentions, but, regreting what he did, he sealed the hole keyblade war, that was occuring in daybreak town, to the realm of sleep. this absurd sealing left daybreak town the way we know now as the keyblade graveyard. the master sended all the keyblade wielders to sleep to prevent futher damage. this can explain the existence of the keyblade graveyard. think again, when a keyblade wielder is deafeted, his keyblade vanish (we saw it many times in kh saga). so why would the keyblades from kb graveyard still be there? because their wielders are not dead, but only at sleep. In the realm of sleep the master created the chirithy to keep the wielders dreaming, and as it happened at khddd, they are stucked at an infinity loop. Every time they get to the keyblade war they just wake up in another dream as if everything they had been were just a dream, and continue with their lives untial reach that point again. so the khx and unchained x are not occouring in the past, but at the same time as the main series. they are in a endless loop time and again, witn a little diference between the dreams. this could explain how ventus had a conection with the keyblade war. he just escaped the realm of dreams someway. also, this explain why maleficent appears at the end of khx. And maybe Xehanort's true intention is to forge the x-blade to bring the keyblade war from the real of sleep and finally end it.

If all Keyblades were based of the X-blade, that means someone would've had to known about it before the first Keyblade war in order to try and create weapons based off it. Since Xehanort's is "most ancient," I think Luxu and the Master of Masters both are up to something sinister.

i def think Ven is a dandelion or so more your character possibly. i saw a theory in comments before. no one knows where he comes from at all or where Xehanort got him and why he even chose to take out his darkness to make Vanitas. I believe this is real or something else is up, either way this is proof that everything is coming full circle.

Ventus is latin for wind. You're thinkin of Vanitas which means both Vanity and Emptiness.
I understand that, but Vanitas comes from Ventus' heart anyway. Therefore Ventus can still represent "vainglory" (or Vanity).

Then this would explain how and why Xehanort came across Ventus, no? Maybe Xehanort found out about the Dandelions when he was researching the Keyblade War and chose Ven to be his apprentice, hoping he would remember something about the war....

Chi and unchained X have always come across as dreams obviously due to Dreameaters & Nightmares being present which wouldn't happen in the waking worlds, this makes me think that this is a dream Ventus is having recalling the fall of the fore tellers and the keyblade war while he is currently sleeping, possibly through the actions/powers of Master Ava. In my opinion when Ventus wakes up in KH3 it is through these dreams that he will explain to Sora and the rest of the guys how the events of the Keyblade War took place and that there are dandelions out there still most prominently Ephamera & Skull or possibly even Master Ava who will help them in the final battle with Xehanorts forces or lead Sora to the Book of Prophecy to discover the link between Luxu & Master Xehanort
So what if Nomura wanted to release the KH bundles like 1.5 and 2.5 for the PS4? I don't see why this would have any negative effects to it, in fact, Nomura could make even more of a profit, bringing more fans of KH and thus selling more 2.8 and 3 copies when they release. Just a quick thought

Could it be that when the dandelions went to the outside world they ended up in different times? and maybe Ventus coming into the world Xehanort, interfered and that is how he lost his memories?

I think that the worlds have a time disconnect. Although it's possible that there trapped in the book of prophecy, keeping them young.
I do think that Ventus has a big connection with the keyblade war, and i think that's the reason he could create the X-Blade

I think, because we've seen Skuld and Ephemera having some sort of unknown connection to Kingdom Hearts, it would make sense that Ventus would have a relation to them, since he also has a connection to Kingdom Hearts. I mean, he IS the Chi-Blade. Ephemera is also a goddess apparently, who knows.
What if every realm has its own time flow? Ventus looks pretty young in that drawing, and there's a good 5 years between the time Vanitas is born and the events of BBS. What if Ventus was in one of those realms when Xehanort found him? That would explain why he's barely aged. Another theory is that Ventus was a Dandelion in a past life since reincarnation is a part of Kingdom Hearts (even though I have yet to see proof of this.)
well this is an interesting twist, After all, we really don't know why or how the old man found him.

I don't remember her name but what if Kairi's grandmother is the leader of the dandelions and Skald and the gang were defeated by a dark being who took Ventus a promising keyblade warrior Her grandmother hears of this and they travel to destiny islands knowing that kairi is a princess of heart to avoid xehanort or whatever darkness is to come then shortly after that part of BBS kh 1 begins continuing the regular timeline
Cynical, This might be the craziest question I could ever thought off, I have a question for you, Can Kairi's grand mother be one of the Dandelions? It made me think this because Kairi's grandmother knows so much about the Keyblade War, it almost sounds like she has experienced it. As the dandelions, they were transferred to a random world and being in Radiant Garden.
