Fullscreen takes up less screen space, maybe about 1280x720, although the colors look much more natural and it looks smoother. Even with the lost screen space, I'd say it's overall better quality than previous episodes.

Web gun is actually pretty good! You can jump in the webs you shoot and make a platform to get to stuff you would normally have to use a rope to get to.
NL, you need to start maximizing your chances, since you certainly have the skill to do so. Try to do as much as you can in the level you're trying to die in before you do so. You can die anywhere, as people keep telling you. Also, the kapala is incredibly important. Good luck!

the necronomicon has to move very quickly, if it moves a little, you are not at the right spot, (like the udjat eye, the closer you are, the faster it moves)
Why don't you just use a headset to listen to audio? Not one that seals off completely, so that you can hear yourself talking as well. Or make it so that you can hear yourself through the headset as well. Audio is pretty important in Spelunky...
This is why you shouldn't have waited for the compass: 1) Items in later stages are more expensive 2) there may not be a compass 3) Whats the point of waiting if you have 5000?
NL... Could it be possible for you to keep your weapon while entering the Head by dropping the weapon right in front of the Head before killing your character? ...Might be worth a try.

if you buy stuff before the black market it is cheaper, that is why you should have picked up the compass early, same for bombs.

dont do this if you have a parachute though, you will waste it. instead, find some spikes, a yeti, a mammoth, a spaceship, etc.
