Great advice thanks Vasili. Would a dwarf dog tree do ok in a half wine barrel rather than planting in the ground? If so, what varieties would be best. Thanks and love your segments, especially on 3aw
Yes, pretty much. Cut away any dead or dying branches and any rubbing or crossing branches. Trim back any branches that are growing outside of the desired shape of the tree to help reshape the tree.
Hi Vasilli, we have got an old Fig tree that was planted right next to our house. I am concerned about the roots damaging the foundation so I have attempted to cut some branches and pot them with some hormone powder at the base of the cut off branches, if all works well I will be chopping down the old tree and digging out the root systems. Would love it if you could make a video on propogation as my attempts have not been successful? Any advise?

That’s handy to know! I bought a “Figalicious” dwarf, does anyone know if it’s top or bottom bearing? I can’t find any info on the internet.
