I received a very wise tip from a good friend of mine from PAM transport, after your initial coupling; 1)Attach your gladhands and pigtail 2)push in your trailer brake 3) raise your landing gear That will get air to trailer while raising up your lander and maybe save you a little time.

I love the 680 signature 100 edition. With all the leather and the 510 HP it's got plenty get up and go. I couldn't drive for a company again, it's so nice being my own boss.
This truck has a beautiful engine growl and pleasing turbo sound. If something sounds similar to my 300D Benz it excites me! Happy driving Kevin and Tanya.
I’ve never driven an automatic transmission truck, our company trucks were always 9 speeds or 13 speeds. I had 4 brand new trucks while driving for Brewton Express. International; Freightliner ; Two new Pete’s .
You have to push the signal light stalk forward for the headlight interrupt and the little button on the end of the signal stalk is to flash your clearance lights.

Hey Kevin I fixed the steering column rattle I pulled the top part and I glued some of the bike air chamber pieces with contact cement glue, and that solves the problem

Excited for you guys with the new T680. As I watched you move everything, was studying the Freightliner. I’ll be giving up my 2021 KW for a Crete Truck. Assume I’ll be getting a Freightliner. Will be nice to have a little more storage. Will probably miss the smoother ride, but the better pay and more miles will be worth it. Going to orientation on the 17th of July.

I know you’ve been following us for a while so we are happy to have inspired you! It is still trucking, so of course there will be snafus, but overall we are so much happier here and Kevin is making good miles and money. Freight has slowed down a bit, but it’s still going very well for us. And we’re optimistic it will pick up again. Communication with your asset manager is key. And you can turn down loads if they are really bad time management. They’ll try and find you something better and often succeed. (That’s your insider tip 😉). Yes, most likely you’ll start with a Freightliner, but we met some brand new Crete drivers that ended up in these same 2024 KW’s😳😳😳. Just depends what’s available at the time. Doing orientation at Mechanicsburg, PA. My assigned terminal will be Statesville, NC. Will then be doing two weeks with a trainer, taking one more week off for a planned family reunion and getting on the road with Crete the last week of Aug. And, I most definitely used your referral code.

I've never driven a freightliner outside of the Army freightliner my military job had but almost 2 years of having my cdl now the only 2 trucks I've driven are the T680 and the T880, 2021 and 2023 T680, and 2022 T880 and I can say I love kenworth and yes I may be biased but I don't care 🤣🤣🤣

Im not a fan of the new dashboard. I have a 2023 Peterbilt 389 with the same dashboard and its not as nice. I liked it at first but within a month I was tired of it. I run my truck at 62 mph and im getting around 7.5 mpg so that T680 should get much better. I didnt see you go under to make sure your brakes were in adjustment and you didnt "spike" it. To flash your lights for a truck in front, push your turn signal out. To thank a truck for flashing you in, its the button on the end of the turn signals.
@@TheJoyofTrucking the storage in it isnt great. not alot of room in the drivers seat area for the seat to recline a little. has a kind if weird turn radius. at least to me it was. they are nice looking but idk just bot my cup of tea. cant wait to buy what i want.

@@TheJoyofTrucking He was just Ok. He started out with one truck hauling produce out of Florida to the Northeast. Back in those days they used a system called bunkers and blowers. They put blocks of ice in the front of the trailers and had a fan blowing cool air over the produce. Later on they started using reefers. He had 3 boys and the youngest boy took over the business and later on got hooked up with Crete.

@@TheJoyofTrucking He was just Ok. He started out with one truck hauling produce out of Florida to the Northeast. Back in those days they used a system called bunkers and blowers. They put blocks of ice in the front of the trailers and had a fan blowing cool air over the produce. Later on they started using reefers. He had 3 boys and the youngest boy took over the business and later on got hooked up with Crete.

Hey there! A Garmin DEZL OTR800 and Garmin DEZLCAM 710. We are very happy with them. Also uses the company tablet and trucker path on his phone. 😃
