- KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA - Today I visit Little India in Kuala Lumpur, more commonly know as Brickfields in Kuala Lumpur. This area is famous for having the best Indian food in Malaysia. There are plenty of restaurants here but you can also find the best Indian street food too. I start off exploring Brickfields before stopping off for a snack which is actually a famous Malaysian street food but it is too good to miss out on. You must eat the Pisang Goreng at this street stall. Later I eat banana leaf curry at an authentic Southern Indian restaurant where two locals teach me how to order the perfect Indian meal.

I remember little India being our favourite place to visit in the evening. It was very hot and humid with all people crammed in together. Especially loved the smells from all the food though.
yeah it is such a cool area with a nice vibe. But yeah, for me, it is all about the food there.

Tempoyak is basically a fermented Durian paste..trust me , it doesn't smell as strong Durian..
oh... I struggle with Durian, maybe fermented durian would be even worse for me haha

When you mentioned Indian food that grabbed my attention as I grew up with it, what with my father running several Indian restaurants over the years in North West England & North Wales, albeit Bangladeshi style!
I'm always temped to give cuisine from other parts of the subcontinent a go & recently tried Yarsagumba in Zona Velha; oh my goodness Joe, I've never had anything like it in Ol' Blighty or Ireland!

It's always a nice gesture to buy something for others to try especially if you know that it will be good😋. You are so correct, if you want to be a vegetarian, Indian food is a great choice.
I am more than happy to buy people food, it is much better than simply giving money. I feel money is more likely to go on alcohol or something. At least food gives nourishment

you gotta go to jalan lokyew little indian food stall near Dboss is the best indian food in Kuala lumpur.... i've been there over 10 years and still the best as far as i've tasted indian food in Kuala lumpur.

I have... and grilled bananas. I actually do not like the grilled bananas, they seem to go too dry. but the fried ones are good
