- Replacing a bad capacitor on a climate control board of a BMW E36 is relatively easy with the right tools and minimal soldering skill since this is through-hole soldering rather than surface mount.
I know this video is 8 years old but I just bought my E36 that I wanted since I was a kid. The climate control was dead and following this video helped me fix it. Thank you very much man, I appreciate it.

Is it OK to put a polorized one ?
you do not need to replace it.. just re-solder it. ;) this film cap is basically lifetime in compare of electrolytic cap.
Any testing?
Did it work?
My control climate unit , after I turn it off, a noise is hearing from inside for 20-30 seconds... HEEELP ME ! Also AC is working ......
