Enjoying all your treks around Dartmoor! By the way...visited the moor last week and now I’m hooked on it. Will be going back to hopefully stay at nuns cottage with any luck! I did do fox torr this time round and was a bad boy as I purposely strayed off the path into the mire and did get a leg stuck! Lol! However I quite easily pulled myself out and had a good laugh about it! And although having great respect for the mire I felt comfortable traversing and exploring it! I had my trusty walking stick! I also met some friendly hounds there too! Lol! Thank you Wiltshire man 👍🏼

Wiltshire Man . Ahhh, you need to visit Wistmans wood then ...then decide upon your favourite. I live very local to these areas of Dartmoor and walk it weekly if not daily .

What is a “tor”? I tried to look it up, but all I could find is some kind of software by that name.

That's a flag pole, red flag and red light means live firing on the ranges behind the tor and there is no admittance.
