- Well isn't this impressive!
The third ever Atomiswave game has been ported to run on Dreamcast and it's an awesome effort and an amazing first game to convert.
I conjectured last year in a video that I thought Atomiswave to Dreamcast conversions would be possible if someone could solve the "Dreamcast has less Sound RAM" problem compared to Atomiswave. I never worked on it but...MegaVolt 85 and YZB cracked the code and here it is!
Hopefully this leads to a ton more Atomiswave to Dreamcast conversions :) It's always great when people dedicate their time to projects like this; everyone learns more and the preservation and community grow more! So big credit to the Metal Slug 6 porting project...awesome job!
Plus Samurai Shodown VI is a legit fun game. It might not be the best in the series but any Sam Sho game is worth it! Awesome fighting game franchise hands down.

Nice to see more ports! Btw two of the unreleased games that I mentioned the other day got uploaded! (Force Five and Kenju) I can't wait to see if they get ported to the DC too.

The Dreamcast is back...AGAIN! I can't think of any other system that has had as much active community love as the dreamcast; even the NES, Genesis and SNES homebrew scene seems to be limited to rom hacks most of the time!
Speaking of next gen systems, are you getting one or both soon? I'm going for the PS5 but as i'm going to wait until around this time next year when there's at least 4 or 5 titles I really want. So far the only one that comes to mind at launch is the remake of demons souls lol. And even then, i've never been the most hardcore fan of the Souls series.
Ill get both but not until they are readily available. I can't stand the whole hunting for them and I refuse to pay a dollar more over retail pricing. I HATE scalpers lol

This is Atomiswave ON Dreamcast so it’s just one version. Basically 1:1
I really wish someone would release these, even as a limited time deal, on a pressed GD-R disc. Would be Awesome to add to my Physical Dreamcast Collection.
I wonder if any replication house even presses GD-R’s any longer. I mean if you could get it under 700MB you could do it on a cd but even then it would be hard to find a replication house that would do it without proper licensing in place

Man it's just getting better and better. Will all these run on the GDEMU? or not because I'm a little confused on how to actually play these on a DC.
They’ve been fine on my ODE. I use Demul to capture though because my elgato HD 60 S and Dreamcast hate each other lol
@@VideoGameEsoterica Which ODE do you use? Also I did this really funny hacky way of getting my DC to run on my TV. I use these 15$ VGA + RCA DC cables and then put the VGA into an VGA > HDMI adapter with a place to plug in the RCA lol. It works decently but the VGA > HDMI requires a microusb power so it's alot of cables. I could probably open up my cable to try to pull a power line from the DC cables but meh not worth it. 22$ for an HDMI solution though was by far the best I could find so I'm happy. I haven't tested it on my capturecard yet but I know that not all games run VGA but theres hacks to make some work? idk it's confusing.

I did not know know all this was going on in the world of Dreamcast, I've been sleep on this! Let me ask you this, can you disable the fact that the background throwing in items because I see that can be a bit of distraction and turns into a Smash Bros. Also, how do you feel about the newest Samurai Showdown since you have extensive experience of this franchise? This is my first time of me watching your video and I appreciate your experience which supports your opinions. Keep up the good work and as always, keep your head in the game!
The new samurai Shodown is fun for sure but I prefer the original MVS games over anything else. The Hyper Neo Geo entries are fun as well but those require original hardware to play. I have a few videos up about them.

I can't start this game on my GDEMU. :( It does start in emulators but not on official hardware... it ignores all input.

I mean Dreamcast’s aren’t that expensive still so you can absolutely jump back in :)
Unfortunately this is one of the Atomiswave games that cannot have the buttons re-mapped so playing on Dreamcast gives you some whack controls.
Yes it’s a bit unfortunate but I bet in the future we may see “options menus” or at least the ability to reconfigure buttons via the test menu. Fingers crossed at least

No not yet. People are working on CDI versions but right now it’s ODE or Emulation
