AVID CARP- How to Tie the Perfect Leader Knot

Avid Carper & www.tedcarter.co.uk Shop Manager Dave Moult gets asked this question a lot whilst working in the shop. He has used a number of different shock leader knots over the years in his Carp Fishing, but this one is his number 1.
The Albright Knot. Also perfect for Combi Rigs!
Dave lands an awesome 28lb Common using a leader and Combi rig, both of which include the Albright Knot.

Great knott I ise it so I can use 6 lb mono to cast really far but have 10 lb leader so the pike don't break my line

You should never use 6lb line for pike

Could i use this knot with braid to 50lb shock leader?

@@shauno0806 : How do you intend to use a 4 turn grinner knot to attach braid to a 50lb leader ??? Please explain. Your giving incorrect advice and should learn your knots before advising others. Hopefully the person who asked the question has ignored you and used the Albright Knot as per the video !!!!

This would not help in anyway if you had never seen this knot tied before unfortunately.

I use this knot for both fly and specimen fishing. Keep trying bc it’s the best to use when tying leaders.
