This....this team has positioned themselves as sellers.. Adding 1 bat or 2 won't do anything with a terrible DH situation, a 200 leadoff hitter, a terrible manager. It sucks but Luis Castillos name needs to be on block (only getting older, will continually lose value)
How is it no one in the media is talking about the coaching staff? Specifically the hitting coaches. This team has had what is considered a quality lineup (before the season) in the last 3 seasons and the offense has continued to be just bad 90% of the time. This coaching staff has shown that it has zero ability to help, let alone fix any struggling hitters. Fire the coaching staff, you've tried everything else.
You’re right, BUT You’d be surprised how much one bat can help. If you add the right type of guy and insert him in the right spot on the lineup, it can change the way the opposing pitchers face the hitters in front and behind that player. Now we know they picked up Randy Arozarena, is he the right guy? We don’t know. He’s a dang good player. And if you put him in front or behind Julio that can have a big impact on the lineup from the leadoff hitter to the #4 hitter.

That is the approach at the plate for the last 3 years under Director of Hitting Strategy, Jarret DeHart. The M’s have been below average in bringing in RISP. There is enough sample size to say that Jarret DeHart has failed. Jarret DeHart has never played as a baseball player on a professional level. He was hired out of college at age 22 by Dipoto.
