Love this. Nightwing needed some more Arkham love. The idea for setting him against Arkham Deathstroke is also brilliant, giving these two the shine they need.

I think they should just forget about Suicide Squad and not have that be canon.
It definitely has far too many inconsistencies to be canon anyways, so why not retcon it.
It’s not even considered canon to me because it retcons and ignores all 4 of the Arkham Games to even be considered the same franchise

Robin is still alive on the dc website there is a page that says what happened to all the Arkham characters and on robins at the end it says no body no death.
We need a Nightwing game with Jump City, Gotham and Bludhaven as maps and The Batfamily and the Titans as companions.

Honestly, I think a green arrow game could be pretty cool.
I think stealth and combat could still work pretty well with how he is but working in the bow and arrow would make him that little bit more distinct from Batman so that doesn’t feel like just a reskin of the Arkham game.
Imagine if you could fire specialized arrows during a predator encounter to take out enemies when they pass by it, unaware. They could freeze them, ensnare them, knock him out with an explosion, etc.
And then in May you could either hit them with the bow or you could fire short range arrows at them, such as the iconic boxing glove arrow.
And maybe, as a second playable character, you could have black Canary, since she is quite important to the world of green arrow

A lot of the way you describe your version seems like almost like a mixture of the Arkham games, Gotham Knights and the parkour of an Assassin's creed game. It definitely would be something Id love to play and it makes me realize how Gotham Knights should've been a Nightwing focused game instead of the whole family.

I would make it set after the events of Arkham origins when dick Grayson abandoned the role of robin and went to blud haven I would like them to make the traversal similar to assassin creed unity in the sense of parkour. The reason I think setting it after the events of origins works because you can hire roger Clark to voice a younger batman also expand on Jason Todd character as the new boy wonder. Also learning how dick Grayson became the new guardian of BludHaven.
I would LOOOOVE a second and third prequel game!

What they really should make is a continuation of Azrael from Arkham Knight where he goes on a journey to subdue The Order of St Dumas. Now that would be a great spinoff in the Arkhamverse
I am not a big fan of Azrael and his storyline. I would take a night wing game over Azrael. :/
Nightwing is one of my favourite characters in comics and it's absolutely criminal that WB hasn't banked on him more. A dedicated single player game would be awesome.

Deathstroke should’ve been the main villain of Origins imo , the joker twist was cool but felt over done , black mask was actually interesting before the reveal I liked his design

Honestly I was really hoping in AK that Batman would become the batman who laughs and become the big bad for the next 3 games since it took 3 to build up to that point... Batman Arkham Nightmare.. And play as either Redhood or Nightwing or both or even make a superman game to take on the batman who laughs, since he kills the whole bat family
I think his traversal should be like Spider-Man 2’s where you have the underarm gliding and you can swinging on a grappling line and also add in terrain based trapeze movements that you can parkour and swing off of.
Please don’t connect SSKTJL. I hate that game with the passion. There was nothing Arkhamverse about it.

The Arkham universe it's a mine of gold that hasn't been exploted. There's a lot of posibilities. A game about Nightwing would be cool, but if there is a character I want a game of, it's no other than Deathstroke.
The post credit scene of Arkham Origins it's been always very interesting to me. Amanda Waller recruiting Slade for her Suicide Squad it's an idea that could create a great story, showing us at the beginning some misions we would do for her, until Slade finally escapes of her control and returns to his assasin/bountyhunter job.
Would love it if they also had the ismahawk nightwing fan series suit in it aswell

I think and Azrial/ robin and Nightwing game would be amazing.
The story is is that after the events of Arkham Knight robin(tim drake) has to work with Nightwing to minimize the city's out of control crime because bloodheavens criminals are rushing in to take advantage of the confusion after their riots caused by Scarecrow's fear toxin and they run into azrael who's trying to become the new Batman but is still too violent so robin and nightwing have to stop him from taking it to far. The main villains wild be the Order that controlled Azrael
And to make the fans happy half way(or the end) of the game u investigate the murder of black mask leading back to the Arkham Knight dlc that Red Hood is in action.
What if in the end of the game, after experimenting with all of batmans stuff on and off, you get presented the option to either become the next batman or continue being Nightwing

Technically, the Court of Owls storyline was Rewritten to be a Batman Bruce Wayne story it was originally supposed to be a Dick Grayson Batman story
A Nightwing game would be awesome, so would a Tim Drake/Robin game.
As much as I like the idea of letting you choose between Nightwing, becoming Batman, or remaining his own superhero, if we’re looking at this from the perspective of continuing the Arkham franchise, they would need to make up their mind.
After all, if you want to make sequels, you would have to reveal to the audience. What is the canon ending anyway, so might as well just make that the definitive ending.
Unless they do something similar to telltale games in which you can decide which ending you chose for the sequel, that’s also an option

I want to know what you'd do for a Cassandra Cain game. But honestly, I think Batman needs to go recruit her, first. Maybe it could even be a split game? You open as Batman and go fight Shiva and a bunch of Assassins, and ultimately Cass, but you recruit her and bring her back to Gotham and show her there's another way. Then you play as Cass and learn how to be Orphan?

I do like what your thinking with the Robin Arc (or ark, I forget which one is correctly spelled), but if you want to, you can just retcon it. Harley ASSUMED Robin died, but no one knows for sure. You can use that to your advantage with doing a Red Hood thing, but instead it’s Red Robin. And maybe he’s even more angry cuz Bruce killed him.

I think they got his personality pretty righ in the Arkham Knight game (I would argue this is the most comic book accurate Nightwing adaptations we have ever seen).
They found a good middle road betwen his charm, and humor, but didn't made him overly goofy. They also didn't fall into a pitfall of writing him as a broody, manipulativ, angsty discount Batman (which people tend to do, looking at youTitans, and Young Justice).

honestly, i feel like the prime days of rocksteady is far behind them now. A lot of the og talent that worked on the Arkham games are gone and I'd much prefer to see this game handled by another company.
Just make suicide squad not cannon and have the game set after Arkham knight, for the map we need bludhaven because first it’s nightwing’s city and second he promised Batman to keep it safe, but I agree with you on having deathstroke as the main villain and instead of Batman villains have nightwing’s rogues gallery the game, maybe throw Lucius in there like Alfred and oracle in the Arkham games. Also have wb Montreal or any other developer other than rocksteady because of their new team and what they did to the franchise, and for traversal they should add nightwing’s grapple, bike but also the wing suit.
They should also take inspiration from the marvel Spider-Man games.

It’d be sick if partway through the game and before nightwing becomes batman, there are reports of batman killing a group of killers or traffickers or something and Jason Todd came back to take the mantle of batman and change it into what he wants, and Jason is the last villain

@@TN10000 that's not true at all, Nightwing wouldn't have existed if Richard hadn't decided to get out of Bruce's shadow & become his own hero, if Arkham Richard took the name of Nightwing because of a conversation with that world's Clark like Prime Earth Richard did so no it's not
