- After what was a longer wait than usual thanks to lock down, we finally got to get out and have a crack at some birds.
Good numbers around but we were not shooting at our best, hopefully that improves during the rest of the season.
All filmed on a iphone except for the odd drone shot, hopefully it's worth the watch.

Didn't know you had a season in NZ. How popular is duck hunting there?
Yeah we sure do, I would say its pretty popular throughout rural NZ.
Any other game birds that are commonly hunted?
We have a few native game birds, Swan, paradise duck, pukeko, spoonbill duck. Some people are real passionate canada geese shooters but they don't have a season. Where are you based Eric ?
@@Muzz308 I am from Colorado in the US. We hunt a lot of types of ducks, Canada and snow geese, as well just finished up turkey season. Would love to get to NZ eventually

Yeah mate, I’m starting to get a good rhythm with the editing. Most of this was on the iPhone so made it easier 👍🏻

Different regions have different rules for each season. Wellington region has no restrictions on feeding.

Haha got a pair tonight mate, I don't have any good parrie spots local. Im planning on putting a bit of effort into pheasants and also shoot lake Wairarapa.

Chris Meredith he was breed buy a person down in Otago, came up to a breeder in Manawatu but has a testicle in the wrong spot so couldn’t be a stud. Then I got him, he’s bloody good besides the one ball issue 😅

@@Muzz308 I love in Nz. Been there a few times hunting now and well go again. I can walk around in Camo and not have someone blink an eyelid. Do that here and they think your part of Isis.
