Love this podcast, because unlike many Big Think videos, the Jewish gentleman highlighted doesn't have that kid-like, "condescending" tone that very much rubs me the wrong way. Yes, I understand that that tone is soothing for those that have lots of fear based defenses and very little good information at their direct disposal. Different Strokes and all
Abstract Art is basically making the perceiver compensate for the artist. It's a lack on the artist's part that requires more work for the seer to interpret. It's rather silly though, when art is supposed to capture meaningful moments, places, events, and abstract is not any of those - it's just a thing. A blue box on a wall.
Heaven on Earth, yep! I'm right there with him. The only reason people don't fully appreciate what abundance and privilege they have at their disposal, and I am even referring to the least advantaged among us, is that they get caught up in a certain context and do not naturally or artificially understand where they are in the greater context of history, both the past which is greatly knowable & the future which is somewhat projectable, though its experience is not exactly universal. ; )
It would be great if the Dems were not socialists anymore, and then we could move on to where the Scandanavian countries are now, although some claim they were even better before even the welfare state, but, you know, they've had an economic collapse and so forth, that the US has yet to suffer from.
It was very intersting untill you got to talk about Donald and Hillery , It had nothing to do with the topic at hand and as somone who dones't live in the US I couldn't care less aobut this topic
Politics, especially the dangers and flaws of politics are a topic that is important to everyone. This also especially, considering that both Donald and Hillary could have massive negative impacts on the entire world, be it in economy, ecology or sociology. I'm not from the US either, but this still interests me. This election cycle, specifically, shows just how fucked up the political system in the US is, how a two party system is ALWAYS doomed to fail.
Very interesting talk. But I don´t like that you went politcly in between. This doesn´t need to be. It definately ruined the neutrality of the talk and corrupted the topic.
No dumb, trueno won be he instilled fear on his supported. He won Bc he talked about real problems the us is going through. And as much as I enjoyed Eric kandel writings, I just lost some respect for him by mentioning how Hillary Clinton would have been better president than trump as president. This has probably been one of kandel’s most biased.
Aye, the coffee and talk is good this morning.
I love these podcasts, don't stop!

Abstract art is too much work for me I mean isn't it too hard to understand from an empty canvas? Empty canvas is an art too right?
If you can get away with it, it's art.
Well it is pretty easy to get away with this type of arts this days...

If Bernie would be running against Trump, Trump would've been fucked from Day 1.
He would never have stood a single chance.
