I took a bunch of smoke alarm fails my server sent me from dangling alarms to painted alarms to straight up cursed things and ranked them on a scale of 1-10 from least stupid to most stupid. Hope for a part 2 soon.

People shouldn’t be painting their smoke alarms because if they do that, all of the functions of their smoke alarm will fail or stop working entirely, I think... Therefore, some smoke alarms have an important label that says “DO NOT PAINT” with capital freaking lettering. I think…
Also, in London, in my house, I think I might’ve tried covering my smoke alarm and heat alarm with plastic wrap film… I think… to stop them from going off, I think… they for sure had test… or maybe hush buttons or something… all I had to do to stop them from going off was to press and hold the buttons while they were going off… I think.
Lesson: Do not paint your smoke alarms, everyone, or they will malfunction.
