I had four ariel 2 strokes including a 67 Golden arrow ( RMX 868F where are you?) and loved them. I was young and stupid and gave them a hard time but they kept on ticking. Loved the way you could rebuild the engine while still in the frame.
Had one of these in 1967 for two years,it was a 1962 model Golden Arrow S S with a Avon sports fairing, never let me down, Marmite bike ,yes, but i loved it and only paid £40 for it, alot more now,.
A lovely bike however I pondered if I should buy one when they came out but decided against a pressed steel frame and bought a Reynolds tubed frame Norman B4 Sports, the Arrow engine however was very tuneable as in " Little Nero"
I had one last year 2022 what a Mistake. A nightmare to work on just try taking of the Dummy Tank off 😱then try and get the rectifier off 😱and the Coils plug leads and wires taking the front wheel out need a special tool!! Rear wheel to 😱fuel tank are just as bad 😱. The only good thing is the engine. But pinch the i dear from Germany 🇩🇪 Adla MB 250. Have SOLD it now so glad 😀 can honestly say it’s the worst bike I have ever worked on.

That's one lovely example of an iconic motorcycle. A credit to you and your dad.
I had one in 1967 , great road holding on bends and cornering , mine had a nice note out of it as well , yours is really nice .😊
This is a beauty! First bike I had on the road. That was in 1969. Still riding a 1200 Bandit at 70 years old.

good-looking commuter bike.
but way too much sheet metal for a sport bike, and that front suspension would be a danger on bad roads.
Owned a couple in the day great handling never any problems. Could thrash along quite well underated bikes.
The Golden Arrow was known for its excellent front suspension, which contributed to its wonderful handling.
there horrible
Where horrible ? France maybe, in which case I agree.
