He’s an awesome instructor. I’ve been very lucky with the CFIs that I’ve trained with, but would fly with him any day for sure.

Student pilot here; a few things they do differently than what our club does in the archer. Vy at 76 until 1000 feet AGL/pattern altitude before increasing to cruise climb, also before rolling into the steep turns, even if the area is clear we still verbalize that it’s clear.
Pitch for altitude “or pull the power back so it doesn’t climb” is also against all 3 of my CFIs pitch for airspeed power for altitude.
I get that video, said not to use for training purposes, they seem like such silly mistakes by a CFI.

Great video. Brings back memories. I started in a 152 then did a rating on the Piper PA28 181 11. Loved every flight. Not flown now for 20yrs I sure miss it.

I also started in a 152. I’ve flown a buddy’s 181 a few times and a 161. I’m definitely a bigger fan of the Pa series of planes, but you can’t beat the 152 as a trainer / affordable time builder.

Rick Bunn thank you very much I appreciate the support!!! thats awesome you were able to fly at 14! My first experience flying In a personal airplane was when I was 13. I’ve wanted to be a pilot ever since. I finally did it when I was 31. I plan in doing a video at some point explaining what got me interested and how I finally followed though and got my PPL.

@@sparshthakker6776 I’m in the US. I’d have to look up the legal requirements. I think you’re a few years short of being able to start, but I know you can log hours at an early age with an instructor. I’m just not positive what that age is.

@@HoosierPilot In 1972 (I was 14yrs old) plane rental was $14 per hour "wet" and the instructor charged another $5.
On my 16th b-day, my mother drove me to the airport to solo...and then to the DMV for my driver's license. While I was on my solo flight my instructor radioed me to fly over a friends house where they had written "CONGRATULATIONS" in the back yard--with toilet paper!!! (How I miss those pre-pandemic times...😅)
