Egyptian President Anwar Sadat has transformed
Middle East politics. Sadat was received warmly by

dramatic move was condemend as a betrayal of the
Arab cause. This report records the main events in

Dear president Sadat was one of the best men that walked this earth. I was 8 or 9 when his limo passed through my town and all of us waved Israeli and Egyptian flags. Nothing moved me so much until my kids were born years later. Even as a young kid I was so happy to have Sadat come in peace. I will admire him until my last breath. May his memory be a blessing.

To me as a jew, this seems to be UNREAL. Peace seemed so much possible back then. I have tears in my eyes and so much respect for sadat in my heart. Unfortunately, there was never such a brave arab leader again.

As a Syrian I respect what Sadat did. At least he’s true to his vision and conviction unlike Assad who rejected to have peace with Israel so that he keeps ruling Syria under emergency laws.

Sadat was an unexpected kind of arab leader. Most than this, he was a wise warrior which understood that peace was better for his own country. Despity his tragical death he left a great legacy. Word needs more arabs leaders like Sadat.
