@@cptblight20 why do we need another tall defender we need a running back half back Travaglia is the player we need and that’s it we have Blight Gibcus Miller Balta Brown Don’t need anymore tall defenders
while I like the logic of getting pick 2 so we can choose the best 2 mids to start building for the future, it seems North are more interested in a swap than we are so they need to offer a very good deal for it to happen. We seem pretty content to grab whoever slides to 6. I'd probably offer 6 and 23 or 24 as a take it or leave it.
Richmond has always been considered an Irish club ( back in day) . My gg uncle was at the bridge hotel when the club was formed. O'Sullivan and Lalor, both Irish blood i say yes . Keep it in the mindset.
Understand the value for GWS given he's a NSW boy but with Cadman on the list, Hogan a reigning Coleman Medallist, inclusion of Stringer who isn't there to play seconds, have Riccardi, Brown and Gruzewski on the list do they really need to add Jobe Shanahan via the draft? Does Jobe really need seconds development. Seems like could play very quickly. GWS lost guys like Peatling, Perryman and Cumming in the off season but bringing in a key fwd?
Kayle Gerreyn to the Tigers 🐅 with one of those’s picks in the 20’s THANKS 👍.I would keep the picks we have and get theses players if available at the selections ? Pick 1 Lalor , pick 6 Smillie , pick 10 Allen , pick 11 Hotton ( Others that would be considered with these’s two picks are Armstrong , Lindsay , Travaglia , Trainor , Shanahan if available ? Pick 18 Berry , pick 20 Faull , pick 23 Gerreyn pick 24 traded for a 1st round pick for next year’s draft 2025. If Faull or Gerreyn are gone ? Or we use pick 24 ? then we go a bolter in Jaques at one of those’s picks 20 , 23 , 24 ? That draft would give us Lalor , Smillie , Allen , Hotton , Berry , Faull , Gerreyn and Jaques that would be a great lot if all was there ? Most likely out of all these’s players Berry at pick 18 may not be available due to going earlier? Players I would be disappointed ☹️ to miss out on would be Armstrong , Lindsay , Shanahan , Tauru, but I guess you can not get all the Players you want. If we keep the Picks we have and Draft well ? Then we are in a very good spot for the future but also the now as many forget we still have a lot of Premiership Players and the mix of old and new make a deadly combination that may surprise and shock some who think Richmond would be bottom 4 next Season ? 🏆17 🏆19 🏆20 🐅🐅🐅
Draper is one of the boys that could place right away for Carlton given that he has already played against men for the last season in the SANFL....Cal Twomey has stressed on his podcasts that ''' he is right to go straight away from day one''' and Draper is exactly who we need given that we already have established big body accumulators in Cripps, Hewitt,Cerra and even Sam Walsh... We badly need the point of difference being the explosive Breakaway pace out of the front of the stoppage to balance out our midfield...FOS would also be on the Blues radar if he were available for the same reason...plus in addition FOS can also go forward as he is very good overhead and can kick and set up several goals
Why would crows draft Langford? A player with similar attributes to Dawson. The midfield lacks speed and one touch ability. That’s not Langford. If Sid Draper is off the board they’ll take whoever is left out of Jagga smith and O’Sullivan. If they’re going for a pod it’d be smilie but I highly doubt that as it’s looks like Dan Curtin is training to be a 196cm mid. Also, f u to Carlton if they take Draper 😅
Because you draft best available, not for needs with early picks. That's like saying 'I want to draft Paddy Dow. I don't want Patrick Cripps because we already have an inside bull in Sam Berry'. Like you don't make any sense.
@ the top 6-8 are fairly even, I personally rate Langford closer to pick 10 whereas Jagga and Finn both are genuine pick 1 contenders so not only do they fit the list better but they’re also better prospects in general. Make sense bud? And your comparison is idiotic. It’s more like you’ve got Dawson already so do you draft another Dawson or someone who is at minimum equally as talented with different attributes like Jagga for who is likened to butters.
@@matthewheyen1953 your logic is so deeply flawed. Okay, so you pick Jagga, and when he's in his prime or even before then, say 22,, Dawson is retired. Cool. Also, you probably haven't seen any of these players play live, so you're just going off Twomey's phantom guides.
@@MrMooremelody sam berry isn't even best 22, i think best available majority of the time is the way to go but when its so tight in the top 5-6 you can pick what compliments your mix the best, crows already have dawson and just drafted curtin and edwards with early picks last year, draper, fos or jagga suits them much better especially with laird no longer in the midfield and crouch's days numbered
@@dexter1761 The full-time recruiters will have a defined set order. So whilst they may be tight, the recruiters will have their order. So best available is always best. And just because the Cal Twomey's say it's tight etc. I have no doubt there are some clubs that don't rate some of these guys in the top 10-15 that way Twomey thinks they do.
I'm just not sold on Armstrong from on overall skills point of view. His kicking is wonky and unnatural and sure it's improved but I just don't think he's that good of a player. I'd be not wanting the dees to take him at 9, let alone 5. Yes, we need a fwd, but I don't think Armstrong is best available. A 20-30 talent for me. His conversion rate is misleading because he kicks a lot of running in goals and shanks a lot of kicks that happen to go through. Could be a bad read from me, but I just don't see it.
If swans are going best available and especially if they planned on getting Matt Whitlock with there 2nd pick, surely they would have taken his brother Jack.

This is such a "supercoach" type analysis. North trading pick 2 for 6 & 18 completely defies common sense. North are prioritizing trading the 2025 1st round pick, so they just keep pick 2 & trade the F1 for a coupe of picks. Hell I could see Richmond trading out 18 and 23 to pick up a good 2025 1st round pick.
The reason they’re trading pick 2 is because the top end of the draft is midfielder heavy and North may believe they are well stocked in that area. Trading pick 2 down to 6 & 18 and taking Tauru who they’re keen on. At least that’s what others who have done mock drafts believe is happening
@@ImeBurner22 The Tauru thing is highly irrational when viewed through sober eyes, but hey ONE Herald - Sun journo made an UNFOUNDED report about an impressive draft camp trial with regard to ONE club..........and now this is supposed to be set in concrete? This is ALL based on lazy regurgitated tabloid drivel! NO club is going to trade out of a certified top tier of 4 players just so they can get some draft camp eye candy speculative player who has NEVER made a junior AA team, and some other spec pick that will end up in the 20's!!! Have you REALLY thought this through mate? When has North overlooked the cream with it's top picks in recent drafts? You believe they're going to break with that now for Alix Tauru based upon (a fairly ignorant) assessment of list needs? Have you heard of Will Dawson? He would go so far ahead of every 195+cm key defender in this draft that it's not funny. Have you heard of Zane Duursma? He's 1cm shorter than Jack Darling and a BETTER mark than Jack Darling.

FOS for Tauru + Faull. It probably shows why Richmond won't do that trade.
