      Here's an idea for you: Now that you're familiar with Shobdon, extend your tour from there to Caernarfon (over Mount Snowden en route, of course) and if you're lucky you might get the superb base and final over the sea for runway 07. Then, along the Menai Straight, the north Welsh coast by the Great Orme, over the short wet bit to the north of Liverpool to Crosby to drop in
      to the fabulously hospitable Ince Blundell for another overnight if required. Finally, back through the low-level corridor to Darley Moor. Lots of lovely scenery to film.

    My first flight to Shobdon was 21 years ago. I was delivering invitations for my 60th Birthday Bash to flying friends. Non-radio, I had to do a go round as a GA came in low on long finals. Flew from Long Marston, similar distance to Darley Moor. After 3 hours on the ground flew to Otherton to see Crash Gordon. Camped overnight. Then to Roddidge to see Mick Shea. Back to my village for a lunchtime pint. 5 hours 20 minutes flying. I loved my XL!

    • @GolfFoxtrot22

      It's shows how small the flying community is and how much the XL still has a good following.

    Giles and Paulie in the same vid! Fly light, Fly safely! Giles, maybe a permanent cable on the wing to the wing camera with a connector near the hang block with enough “service loop” for full articulation of the bar would help. Then you could have a centralized power supply for your accessories somewhere onboard the fuselage.

    • @GolfFoxtrot22
      @GolfFoxtrot22  2 місяці тому

      Hi Tom, I already have a centralised power bank, I've tried removing the main battery and just running on the powerbank. On a dry run it worked for ages, it just seems to not run for a full flight now.

      Hi and welcome to the channel. The camera was running on a powerbank and I'd even bought new batteries for the camera as well. I'd conducted a dry run with the camera and it seems to run fine, it just seems to be onboard. I'm puzzled as to why it now seems to shut down.
