Restoring The DESTROYED Paint On My R34 GT-R!

- With the help of Gtechniq we finally get the chance to bring the Bayside Blue paint back up to its former glory! Dropping the car off at Shogun Autosport, we follow the process of restoring my GTR's paint. With so much glue and contamination left from the wrap, the work was cut out for them, taking over 3 days to restore. It was then locked in with a Gtechniq Crystal Serum ceramic coating!

Your car turned out fantastic, that particular shade of blue looks really good on it. Nice shots of the car among the colorful autumn foliage! That appeared to be a pretty clean S2000 Type S in the background there at the shop - a model that we did not receive here in the States.

It’s nice to see your R34 being shiny again. One thing I notice is the headlight of your car which has a bit of a hazed on it. Do you plan on having them cleaned and restored or do you plan to replace them at all? On the interior side of things, what do you plan to do on it? Also, do you plan on bringing back the oem steering wheel or keep the aftermarket one that you are using? Nice content as always Dino.
The headlights were polished/restored during the detail at Shogun. Happy with the result so no need to donate one of my kidneys to Nismo for new ones 😂

That CSL/EXO combo is 🔥. Great coatings. Just an FYI - You may have some trouble having the new badges stick to the paint after getting the ceramic done. Same reason why you get tires mounted/balanced before coating wheels otherwise the weights come off. Either way, great outcome.

Dino the Nismo B pillars are a 3k plain weave genuine carbon. They are not fake, I can see its delaminating slightly but that older nismo stuff is very valuable !
