De Fanfare van muziekvereniging Kunst en Vriendschap Zoetermeer o.l.v. Michel Ponsioen speelt 'Stop the Cavalry' in winkelcentrum Leidschenhage, 18 december 2010.
Well done! I'm from the northwest area of the U.S. and the song is a Christmas tradition every year over here. Somehow a local radio personality got a copy and started playing it back in the early 80's and it's popularity exploded. Everyone became obsessed with the quirky little tune. And even though it was written as an anti-war song, I think that sentiment can be appreciated during the Christmas season also.
Amberleigh Greener I know, I play in wind band. It's just set out like a brass band. Made it seem weird to me as there is no flutes, clarinets etc but just sax
@@samanthamaria5183 A FANFARE is a typical Dutch form of Brass Band. The only woodwind instrument is the saxophone. The principal instrument is the bugle (in a Brass Band it's the cornet). Only in a full windband (in Dutch HARMONIE) you'll find all the woodwind instruments like flute, clarinet etc.
As such you're right, but it's X-mas related so very much in place in a X-mas concert. "Wish I could be dancing now In the arms of the girl I love Mary Bradley waits at home She's has been waiting two years long Wish I was at home for Christmas"
Incredible amount of work went into that . Well played underappreciated
So well done. I'd like to have been at that Mall to congratulate them.

Trumpets and saxophones in a brass band... what is this?
Samantha Maria if there are saxophones it would be a wind band cause sax are woodwind
