If CDPR has been infiltrated (the politics in Poland sure have) it is not a good sign for the Witcher game franchise and CDPR clearly didn't pay attention to the reception of the Netflix series which while I enjoyed some of it for the most part it was clearly woke by the race swapping of characters. In some ways I really hope when AI gets extremely good it will take over as the main tool for making games cause if you get anti-woke people in the industry using that to design games at a very low cost the wokies will be screwed big time.

The saving grace for Sweet Baby until now was that they were flying under the radar. The general public and player had no clue they were involved with games like Spider 2, GoW Rag, and even Alan Wake 2. With these sequels we can prove that their agendas and decisions directly harm IP and media.

I pre-ordered Stellar Blade deluxe the moment it became available. I was like, "Here, take my money, now!" I'm happy to support any game developer or film studio that rejects the woke agenda. I wasn't initially planning to buy Hogwart's Legacy, but after the controversy and attempted boycott by the activists, I decided to throw some money at it. And the game ended up being one of the top-selling games of 2023. Hogwart's Legacy actually is quite good, I don't regret the purchase.
Stellar Blade is coming out on Playstation. They've let up on the censorship in Japan because it was proving to be very detrimental to sales over there early on in the platforms life. They have and will force alterations to character designs for western releases. I don't know if that footage of the game was intended for Asian markets or worldwide, but if it was the former I recommend holding off on the excitement until we know we won't be getting an...adjusted...product. That said; it is sad that we're at a point where the simple fact that the game will have good looking characters is enough to get us hyped.
I honestly think 2024 is going to be the year of retribution for media within the west with regards to this subversive, partisan crap. Because Suicide Squad has light a fire in a lot of gamers in that it took something well-regarded and loved, the Arkham games, and spat and crapped on them. And combined with the live service nonsense that these companies have been pushing, plenty of gamers aren't going to take it. And the fact that Sweet Inc Baby's name has gotten a bigger platform due to this brings me hope because the more of these high profile failures happen, the less theirs and folks like them will be looked fondly by the money men at these gaming companies. Because in an economy where money is very tight, audiences aren't entitled to spend money with these brands. They have other options; other indie games or recent ones, like Palworld. Or heck, older games.

Shift up apologized removed the jacket and never did that again. Players have mostly forgiven them for this and now Nikke makes revenue Western devs would sell their souls for.

It's the culture of failing upwards that really needs to get sorted out. If you've run a company into the ground or been part of a creative team that produced a complete failure that should make you radioactive but, for some reason, you see people moving from one gig to the next like it's nothing.
That Witcher remake thing sounds like it's going to suck ass. The world of the Witcher is a cold, brutal conflict full of violence, racism and other transcendent terrors. Children die all the time and suffering is a way of life. Being able to make a choice that you think is correct and then having some serious grey undertones or worse is what makes that game so interesting. But hey can't wait for them to cut all the sex, all the violence, all children get plot armor so there's never anything at stake and nobody says any nono words because that's what believable in an ALREADY ESTABLISHED WORLD. And sex? That's banned too. Like what the fuck you know they're like "Oh man this quest with the Baron and the domestic abuse resulting in a dead child? Well can't have that it might affect the snowflakes." Something about the "woke" creators. I watched some Arkham game footage and it's soooo mature. Suicide squad has that woke vibe where the subject is for mature audiences, but the writing is for children. It's very confusing. Why write dialog and jokes for kids then have such graphic visuals?

I'm a huge fan of Grant Morrison's comics, for instance, which are full of LGBTQ characters and themes. The difference, is that Morrison is creating original, insightful, wonderful new worlds, characters, and ideas, and they're not pushing any politics or butchering any legacies in the process. As of writing, I'm playing the Ninja Gaiden games, and it's shocking just how different and refreshing it feels to get into games that actually has edginess, violence, gore, and fan service all at the same time with a combat system that treats the players as smart people that are willing to learn the deeper mechanics to beat bosses and tough encounters. Man, I miss singleplayer games that have linear campaigns and gameplay in mind without having to be so damn "cinematic" or be absolutely gutted by microtransaction-heavy live-service features. Sure, I would love a game that can have a deep narrative, but, lately, all we keep getting are games that are supposedly "mature" but lack any kind of edge factor because of the whole "we must be sensitive for a modern audience" issue.

If CDPR has been infiltrated (the politics in Poland sure have) it is not a good sign for the Witcher game franchise and CDPR clearly didn't pay attention to the reception of the Netflix series which while I enjoyed some of it for the most part it was clearly woke by the race swapping of characters. In some ways I really hope when AI gets extremely good it will take over as the main tool for making games cause if you get anti-woke people in the industry using that to design games at a very low cost the wokies will be screwed big time.

I pre-ordered Stellar Blade deluxe the moment it became available. I was like, "Here, take my money, now!" I'm happy to support any game developer or film studio that rejects the woke agenda. I wasn't initially planning to buy Hogwart's Legacy, but after the controversy and attempted boycott by the activists, I decided to throw some money at it. And the game ended up being one of the top-selling games of 2023. Hogwart's Legacy actually is quite good, I don't regret the purchase.

Stellar Blade is coming out on Playstation. They've let up on the censorship in Japan because it was proving to be very detrimental to sales over there early on in the platforms life. They have and will force alterations to character designs for western releases. I don't know if that footage of the game was intended for Asian markets or worldwide, but if it was the former I recommend holding off on the excitement until we know we won't be getting an...adjusted...product.
That said; it is sad that we're at a point where the simple fact that the game will have good looking characters is enough to get us hyped.
I honestly think 2024 is going to be the year of retribution for media within the west with regards to this subversive, partisan crap. Because Suicide Squad has light a fire in a lot of gamers in that it took something well-regarded and loved, the Arkham games, and spat and crapped on them. And combined with the live service nonsense that these companies have been pushing, plenty of gamers aren't going to take it.
And the fact that Sweet Inc Baby's name has gotten a bigger platform due to this brings me hope because the more of these high profile failures happen, the less theirs and folks like them will be looked fondly by the money men at these gaming companies. Because in an economy where money is very tight, audiences aren't entitled to spend money with these brands. They have other options; other indie games or recent ones, like Palworld. Or heck, older games.
When you have an anime action JRPG game that nobody has heard about having over ten times more player base than a DC game from Rocksteady, you have officially fucked up.

I don't oppose politics in games. Hell, Fallout: New Vegas can be interpreted as anti-sexist if you play as a female Courier and kill the patriarchal Legionairies with your bare hands; if that isn't progressive, what is? But the devs used Lex Luthor as a mouthpiece for their politics despite it violating Lex's character. It is also the only codex that shills someone rather than trying to inform you (even if we acknowledge Lex's codices are biased). Again, my problem is how badly the politics were done. That Witcher remake thing sounds like it's going to suck ass. The world of the Witcher is a cold, brutal conflict full of violence, racism and other transcendent terrors. Children die all the time and suffering is a way of life. Being able to make a choice that you think is correct and then having some serious grey undertones or worse is what makes that game so interesting.

I'm 100% behind giving voice to marginalized communities when it's done in a creative way, within a well-written story that doesn't disrespect characters and storied worlds that are already established, but this woman, and people like her need to be shut down! I'm a huge fan of Grant Morrison's comics, for instance, which are full of LGBTQ characters and themes. The difference, is that Morrison is creating original, insightful, wonderful new worlds, characters, and ideas, and they're not pushing any politics or butchering any legacies in the process. Gods, I hate these agenda-pushing, Orwellian despots.

Then he started developing Destiny Child with Line Games before taking it himself. Now they have Nikke, Destiny Child closed last September and of course Stellar Blade
Games aren't worth buying anymore, i don't care how much work they put into it if it was all just to spite the gamers who play it, and no effort went into making it complete, fun, or appealing.

Meh, she CAN work... but not in the usual story format, the story has to lean into the crazy, similar to deadpool stories in a way. She's insane, so it makes sense, but most of the time yeah, Harley won't work as a main focus.

As of writing, I'm playing the Ninja Gaiden games, and it's shocking just how different and refreshing it feels to get into games that actually has edginess, violence, gore, and fan service all at the same time with a combat system that treats the players as smart people that are willing to learn the deeper mechanics to beat bosses and tough encounters. Man, I miss singleplayer games that have linear campaigns and gameplay in mind without having to be so damn "cinematic" or be absolutely gutted by microtransaction-heavy live-service features. Sure, I would love a game that can have a deep narrative, but, lately, all we keep getting are games that are supposedly "mature" but lack any kind of edge factor because of the whole "we must be sensitive for a modern audience" issue.

I fully agree with your idea that having sex appeal isn't as demonic as the woke culture makes you think. As long as a character is more than just fanservice, just let us have handsome guys and pretty girls.
