- This video was recently discovered in the Australian Archives by Stephen Banham while researching his upcoming movie 'Drop Bears' - ATTACK of the Killer Koalas. This film was found in a canister labelled "D.B. Warning (do not broadcast)". It is believed to be used to educate migrants upon their arrival to Australia in the 1950's
One of these things killed my younger brother after he refused to eat Vegemite. I miss you everyday, John.
they never spread to Europe because they got tangled up in the spaghetti trees in Italy
Thanks to your comment, i just learned, after wondering for many years, how Spaghetti Tree Restaurant in Melbourne got it's name. (article is on GoodFood website).
Wonder if they still grow a bit out the back, or if those trees got cleared for some new building development. Oops perhaps shouldn't have mentioned that, think they were secret since the seedlings were brought into Aus
Ha!
This is no joke: back in 2008 I lost 3 mates in an excursion to the Outback. Some nights, I can still hear their screams...
The screams of their human prey, soon overcome by the shrieks and howls of hell's most hideous marsupial. You're not alone, mate. Most of us in my Support Group still jolt awake at night to the memory of their murderous cacophony. And the screams.
We're most sincerely sorry for your loss, friend.
Hope you're not joking about something as serious as this.. some of people from your area / country say that is bs
@@TRafael82 It is serious. I lost an arm to these.
@@jdd4393OH MY GOD ARE U OKAY?
My auntie traveled to Australia and got bitten in the ear by one of those. Spent days in hospital.
No problem. I have a pet Jackalope to protect me.
***** No, being a bird, the snipe is in a protective cage. But the jackalope and the haggis are both allowed to roam free around the house and garden. Of course we have a tall, stout fence around the garden
Better get a Wolpertinger, they can fly and kill the drop bear mid-air before it even lands on your head.
Jackalope ain’t gonna do sh*t it’s gonna get eaten by the drop bear
For Drop Bear protection, Les Hiddins sawed a round head shovel blade in half and sewed into his hat, giving it it’s distinctive shape.
Always LOOK UP!
1:29 the Bushman's Safety Hat has been tested on possums and cats :-) Pretty much stay away from anywhere near a tree and you'll be right.
Why the hell is UA-cam recommending me this video? I haven’t watched in a few years.
Look up and live, the more information we can get out there the safer everyone is.
You think Drop bears are bad they are nothing compared to the SaberToothedKanagaWallaFox.
Or the crocodile eating tarantula
minor compared to the Mongolian Death Worm 🐛
"Ay m8 you got that VB, wanna hear a crazy idea?"
"Ye m8, whatcha on abou'?"
"Koalas, with a cravin' for flesh!"
"Croikey! I'll 'ave what you's 'avin!"
Even though I’m from America, I’m still interested in this

I legit heard the flying fucks🤣🤣🤣
Fake. Anyone who had to sit through these at school knows what the *real* voiceover guy sounds like.
It's real footage but a terrible attempt at rewording the audio with an "authentic" contemporary sound.
Well damn. Someone obviously drugged me when I made that last comment. & they used a substance that renders you boring & humourless. There's no other explanation for it.
Yeah. the mistake was using all that old, scratchy-sounding optical film-track footage... and mixing it with the guy voice-overing into a Shure studio microphone picking up the room-reverb. The two 'contrasting' sounds just don't add up. The voice is so much cleaner and live-sounding without the optical limits imposed. Even with the EQ'ing done to the final-track... it doesn't quite sound like an authentic mix. Nice try, though.
I'm just sitting her gobsmacked by you two peanuts. - Cricktail & Smithee
I am stunned that you actually went into this video with some kind of thought that it could be real.
Yeah a 50's newsreel warning tourists about the Drop Bears (and not the spiders, snakes, jellyfish and old Itaian men with hankies on their heads.
Nothing gets past you guys hey?
Not even the stuffed Koala they had shoved up in a tree.
Here's a thing,.. next time you two genius's see a clip on the Drop Bear, maybe you could just grin and play along instead of trying to be super sleuths and impressing everyone with your outstanding perception of Voice over guys and reverb from studio microphones...
Outfuckingstanding.
@@shrude7585 you will always get one or two morons wherever you go
That last bit was creepy as hell 0_0
Yes look up so drop bear can gouge your eyes out😂😂😂😂😂😂

Item #: SCP-6000
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-6000 instances are to be contained upon immediate discovery. At this time, no means are available to know whether SCP-6000 can be fully contained or not.
The SCP-6000 should only be contained within a 6x6x6 stainless steel cell. No personnel are allowed direct contact without at least one armed person(s).
Description: SCP-6000 is a Koala resembling anomaly that is highly aggressive to most forms of life, especially humans. It is commonly known in Australian folklore as the Drop Bear, and it has several anomalous abilities. The most common of which includes manifesting in locations where victims are isolated. Once a victim is spotted, it will instantaneously move to a tree above their location and drop down. Once dropped, SCP-6000 will use its claws and teeth, sharper than those of a typical Koala, to inflict heavy lacerations. As long as there are no nearby trees, it will not be able to manifest and drop down, meaning its attack is significantly less dangerous.
Great video
Hardly any drop bears left... but if you go out minto way in outback QLD... make sure you look up.
I collect hats, I now want a "bushman's safety hat"! 😈
