Nice assessment! I can send this to my clients now rather than trying to explain it every time LOL. Most of my clients require complex custom CMS and nested CMS references so Webflow is still my top choice, but I enjoyed your perspective.
Framer for pumping out fast sites with few pages and no e-commerce. Webflow for everything else. Also, Webflow is vastly superior for responsive design. Framer can be very unpredictable jittery at times when resizing
I like both platforms but because I code I like Framer more. If you know React you can write custom components. For example I wrote a custom gallery connected to Airtable where you can filter images based on categories. Framer is built on React so it’s easy to extend, if you’re a developer.
@@bazibada the Framer CMS was too limited for my needs so I used AirTable for a gallery. You just need to set it up and use built in fetch to get the data. Framer also comes with the Framer Motion library so I used it for the filter animation.
Thanks for the nice video. One correction: Framer automatically optimizes your images (size and format) based on dimensions, visitor resolution and format support (.webp and likely soon .avif).
Thanks Koen for your comment and for watching it means a lot to me! And thanks for the correction as well, it’s great to see Framer taking care of such vital aspects behind the curtain ✨✨
Great one man and actually nice start! I really enjoyed every single piece of info you provided, the production is really good for the 1st video, the transitions are smooth I just have a fan comment 😉, I missed getting involved in the story by experimenting with each comparison feature individually to get to know more about what you showing to me, that would make it easier for anyone to choose after your video which one is better for them. But overall, keep going ma man I'll always support you 🙏🏽❤
You gave us some amazing info about framer and Webflow, maybe I should try one of them already as a web developer myself, I think I’ll go with framer first
Im so confused as to which to focus on. I felt like webflow required more time, but I actually really like the set up of it now since it is so close to how html and CSS works. But Im afraid that I will spend more time making websites in it.
Can I use framer to make a website for a company and sell it to them so that it's up and running? If so, who hosts the site ? If not, if I buy a custom domain, can I link the framer website to it and host it myself or is it up to the customer to host and maintain the site? Sorry I am a beginner and don't know much about these things and you seem to be a professional in these matters ! Thank you
I slightly disagree with the responsiveness, if one uses frameworks like client-first on webflow its almost auto responsive on all breakpoints spare very little layout changes
Glad you like it! Thanks man. Definitely Framer, until you’re either curious enough or running into limitations- then you’d want to give webflow a test drive
Hey Fekry, I just watched your video, looked through your portfolio, and I must say that I loved it both! Subscribed right away :) I'm sort of an intermediate in website building as a hobby and I am looking to turn my passion into a business now, is there any way we could connect and I potentially pay you to be my mentor for a time frame? Much Love!
The content was really helpful. In the comparison, I think you should show what you're talking about. Otherwise, people might get bored just listening to your explanation.
Something about webflow i liked it a lot but never loved it, but with framer I fel in love the firs time i used it I understand webflow is more versatile and framer lack custom cms and many advance features hopefull they improve and gro over time because instill feel webflow is like dreamweaver but refined framer is a diffrent framework itself, as a designer a freeform worspace makes more sense to me

Oh I didn't even know this ! So it means you can sort of extent Framer's CMS abilites by using Airtable ?

i'd love to see a tutorial of this

Framer got so much better since this video came out
100% Planning on making a new one

This is wonderful, congrats on your first video 💗💗💗
Thank you so much!!

Thanks gesse :) glad you liked the video

Glad you enjoyed it!

Very well explained video. Straight to the point, smart and informative. I hope your channel will grow :)
amazing, i think i'm gonna go with Framer 😃
Totally agree!👌🏽
Very clarifying, thanks. Keep up with this! 👏
Thanks, will do!

Framer acceleration is more promising. One of the improtant difference is you can't export code from framer. But you can from webflow
Frankly I don’t see it limiting as long as I don’t need to export code

I believe both are great on that front, probably its a designer preference thing
It's only a matter of time for Framer to become as robust as Webflow. Their rapid growth has been insane.
Great first video!! As a newbie designer, non-coder, doing basic freelance projects, information sites. Which would you recommend?
Glad you like it! Thanks man.
Definitely Framer, until you’re either curious enough or running into limitations- then you’d want to give webflow a test drive

Yes, too many considering Webflow!
No SEO mention ?!
I plan on posting a full video around that
The content was really helpful. In the comparison, I think you should show what you're talking about. Otherwise, people might get bored just listening to your explanation.
Thanks for the feedback!
