    I really love your setup! So much that I tried to replicate it for my own rig. I have made some changes that's worth noting. If your using it for a run & gun setup just like you built it, I found an even better solution.
    Eliminate the NP-F battery setup & rail mount system since your not using it to attach any follow focus or accessories to it. That will save you 681.5g of total weight from your rig. Everything else stays the same. You now have two options:
    1. V-Mount with VB99 - 660g for battery + 199g for mount (4064B) which weights slightly more than you setup of 859g. A difference of +177.5g
    2. V-Mount with VB50 - 330g for battery + 199g for mount (4064B) which ends up lighter than your system coming up at 529g, a weight saving of 152.5g
    Eliminate the unnecessary bulk and excessive weight of the mounting rod system. Also, this gives you flexibility in the fact you can use a smaller battery for running around and shorter shoots, or a larger battery with more capacity for only 177.5g more.

      Hey!
      Glad you like the setup.
      I will search right now for your recommendation and see if that will be a good fit for me.
      I love to find good ideas for my rig.
      Thank you so much!
      And yes, a V-mount will deliver a lot of juice 😁

    Hey Gabriel, thanks for this informative video. I was wondering approx how long does one npf 970 battery last on that setup when charging camera and feelworld monitor at the same time?

      Hey. Thank you! Glad you like my video. It really deepening about the brightness of your monitor, the framerate you shoot etc. I used it at events and It last about 3-4 hours. For me if more than enough. I just want to avoid the V mount 😄

    Love your video’s especially this idea to power via NPF batteries. I have the a7iii. Can you supply a link to the usbc cord to camera that you use? What about the cable for the monitor?

      Hello! This is the power cable: geni.us/7miE6 and the usb C is a classic usb C to usb C from a HDD or something :) Nothing special. Thank you and I am glad you like it :)

    Hello Gabriel. I interest to invest on Npf battery that have Type C output. Would ask your opininion if i use Cable type C to jack DC 12V on Npf with TypeC output. Can it power up monitor 5inch external with port 12V jack DC ?

    • @GabrielVIP
      @GabrielVIP  10 днів тому

      Hey! Theoretically yes! But you need to read the specifications of the USB C out of the NPF you want to buy. But basically, should work :)

    how can I have NPF adapter plate to power my Nikon D7200?

    • @GabrielVIP
      @GabrielVIP  Місяць тому

      Hey! I never used a Nikon D7200 but see if Smallrig made a dummy for your model. If they have, maybe you can connect it to the plate.

    Not quite sure where I am going wrong trying to copy your battery setup. I have the same adapter you do only difference is two things, one being the red button when held does NOT turn on the adapter, I can only click it and it shows battery level for 3 secs then shuts off but when I connect my USB c cable to it and then the other end to my camera, THEN the plate has an orange light on the back that lights up but it wont turn my camera on and I have no idea what I am missing. I have a USB-C to USB-C, the same smallrig plate + Batteries you have. What am I missing? I thought the battery since its connected via USB-C would take the juice from the battery and give it to the camera but apparently it doesn't and I am not sure what I need to buy or do to get my ZvE10 to work like yours. Can you see where I am going wrong?

    • @GabrielVIP

      Hey. To turn on the adapter, hold that red button for a few seconds :)

      @@GabrielVIP That's the weird thing. When I hold it, no light turns on but if I click it shows battery status/available charge. It has a LED Light on the back and when I plug in the USB-C cable to the adapter and then the other end to my camera, that LED light on the adapter turns orange which indicates it is now on instead. I don't know if I got a defective one or something. When I turn on my camera doing this (with the default sony battery) and it shows my battery is charging as its on which means that yes, the adapter is working but it just doesnt power my camera alone and needs a battery inside the camera and then it charges THAT battery instead.

      @GabrielVIP  Місяць тому

      I understand now the problem. The camera is not working with USB C without the battery. You need to have the battery inside. If you want to power it directly from the NPF you need a Dummy Battery. You can't power the camera without a battery inside.

    Would this system power both the camera and monitor simultaneously?

    • @GabrielVIP
      @GabrielVIP  5 місяців тому

      If you want you can add a USB C dummy battery and connect it or power the camera with an USB C.

    How is the handling noise of the smallrig shock mount/mic holder?

      Hey! Good! I don’t have problems with it. But yes, you don’t need to touch the mic. Maybee I will make a test in a video :) Thank you for this question 🤗
