Hello,
Nice video.
I watch your videos regularly now. There is one thing that I particularly appreciate. You make videos that are very useful for someone who wants to move to Siem Reap. One day it's the price of apartment rentals, another day it's the nice restaurants. Today, it's a comparison and prices of usual products. The subject is very well covered, it is very complete. This is really very helpful, thank you very much.
We try our best 💪🙏😊
I've been here 1 year,
I find your videos very informative and watch every week,
Thank you guys,
You do a fantastic job. Cheers
Our pleasure! 😁😌
(For Riel) should be an expat manager in Cambodia 🤣
Mmmm, maybe 🧐🤔 that is coming soon 😎
Thanks for sharing 🙏worth checking tyty mart 👍
Glad you enjoyed it ☺️😌
Great job 👏 👏👏… informative from SR royal investigative pair… thanks
Our pleasure! 😍🤩🥳
great video! very useful
Glad you think so! 😜☺️
This is a huge tip! Thank you!
Glad it was helpful! 🙂😁
I'm not in Cambodia , however I am researching living in Cambodia and I enjoy For Riel content if I was in Siem Rep I would be a Ty Ty customer for sure thank you for this video.
Sounds great! 😃💯
Never disappoint investigative report... Great great...
We go where other people won't 😍🤔😌😎
I've found that many packaged items I regularly buy are cheaper at Chao Sang Hok by a good 5 to 15%. Cowhead milk: 5%; Chaba juices 15%, or more; Coffee 10%; etc. It all adds up. 😄💲
Yes, I like CSH too, particularly the branch on the highway.
Investigative journalism at its best.
No aisle was left unexplored 🤠😅
I saw a video before, saying that Chinese imitation bags must be controlled not to be too good, because the quality of most brand-name bags is not as good as high imitations, and if they are too good, they will be recognized as fakes *jklux*
Chao Sang Hok is a little cheaper than Angkor.
Yes, I think so too.
Very good information lovin it Thanks ❤
You are so welcome 🤗
Great reporting as usual… thanks
Very welcome 🤗😁
Great info. thanks
Glad it was helpful! 😁🙂
Super video and really useful:) 😊
Glad it was helpful! 🐱😺
Definitely Try Try the Ty Ty market folks. Now Miss Claire, there must be other brands of say Shampoos/conditioners etc that are far cheaper than the alleged ripoff "Unilever" goop. (90% of the time i wash my luscious locks with Sorbelene with a smidge (bee's - you know what) of fragrant conditioner or essential oils, citrus etc etc. Thanks for the Info Video.
We only stick with brands we know, as there isn't much of a difference.
Im going to Ty Ty now!!!!
They will start thinking 🤔 Where are all this Barangs coming from????
11 more days. My first trip to Cambodia. Love from New Hampshire. I guess Ty Ty wins
It's rainy season and everything is so green and cool 😎😁
Saw you coming with the shampoo and shower gel. Sunlight dishwashing liquid does it all. Softens your brains while you do your whiskers.
Great research!🙏
Love it!! 😁😍
Seems even less expensive than Malaysia! ❤
Definitely alcohol is cheaper 😎😍
We are looking forward to seeing your new place ☺️😁
Into my "retire o/s" folder. thanks
Move ASAP!! 😸😁
Can't wait to check out tyty!! Thanx alot 😍😍🙏
Hope you like it! 😁😊
I hope I am never again so skint that 10-30cents makes an impact on my life.
Glad to know about that store.😊
75c a beer 🍺🍻 the savings add up 😍
Yet another fabulously informative video, you guys rock!
Glad you enjoyed it! ☺️☺️
$.07 might not sound like a huge savings on that dish soap, but that's around a 6% savings. If you could shave off 6%+ from every item you buy, I'd say that would be a pretty good deal :) 👍
Good point! ☝️
yall are like saints to new siem reap expats. Great video as usual!
Appreciate that 😊👍
I guess you pay for the Air Con and the fancier space/ location at Angkor mart vs. TT… great info..ℹ️… thanks 🙏
Yes, it must cost a lot to air con Angkor Market. They have price scanners there as well - all manual at TyTy.
Thank you very much for this video. Very useful ! I’ll go to Ty Ty soon 🙏
You will have a good time looking around 🤔☝️
Thank you for this information. I think I might never have discovered the store myself. It's well worth a visit. As I told you yesterday evening, your videos are always an inspiration.
Thank you! Was lovely to see you last night.
My sister is coming to see me in July. She wants to go to Angkor Wat. Can you tell me how to find the stegosaurus carving so I can seem like a smart brother? I want to cycle there if possible.
Would recommend an ebike, as the humidity can be a lot for people.
ua-cam.com/video/Sp1z_QOgP68/v-deo.htmlfeature=shared
@@ForRiel Thank you so much. I was excited to receive your reply. Have you ever seen the stegosaurus?
Very helpful for all … 👍🙏👏
So nice of you ❣️😊
🙂❤👍Some Great Information Thank You Clair. 🙂❤👍
You are so welcome 🤗😁
“Thicker”, “thinner”, “golder”, “no letters”…no one cares except those who are actually willing to pay 15 times the actual price! They are all made in China anyway! Where can I buy high imitations? ? ? ? *jklux* I was sold. I don't see any difference
GREAT VIDEO ! THANKS
Glad you liked it! 😀
Ok you had me at Ty Ty👍
No problem 😃😁
awesome!
Thank you! Cheers! 🎉🥂
The news shocked me about the cheapest price for the food. I have a lot of available time to visit there, but I couldn't 😮🎉❤
Next time 😌🤔😍
GREAT VIDEO THANKS
Glad you enjoyed it ☺️😊
Do you have Winsou in Siem Reap? The pilers and pruners are $1.1 in Winsou.
Unfortunately we don't have Winsou. It looks like a great store - will check it out when we go to PP next.
@@ForRiel See you made it to Winsou 😀
Super!
Thank you very much! 😊🙏
Please find the link to the location of TyTy Mart in the description of this video. It's a fantastic shop in Siem Reap - great for all those little items you need around the house.
Wonderful information and very useful. Much appreciated Respectfully
Thanks so much 😊 Glad you found it useful 😁
@@ForRiel Very useful! Cost and time savings . What a fantastic video. Thanks again. It remains much appreciated. Respectfully
Super. I’ve driven by that shop several times before and wondered why there’s always so many motorbikes parked out front.
I know, right? We did the same 😎😀
Two Cheap Charlie thumbs up! 😀TBH, I'd also shop at Angkor Market for the same reason: one-stop shopping. Thanks Claire!
So true! 🤣😁
Very useful, thank you so much ❤
Too bad there's no food.
Thanks so much for watching and commenting 😁🙂
We will do another video about food costs soon.
Most of the items in the 2500 riel shops are crap. Especially the tools.
The things we have bought there seem to be holding up ok.
Good to hear.@@ForRiel
Here are some timestamps in the video:

Bravo, Claire... such great info!
Glad it was helpful! 😄🤠
Best investigative reporting…. Better than CNN… thanks
We do our best 😁☺️
Good evening.19/06 I was in S Reap for lunch then continue the journey to Kratie.Visited Mondulkiri too.
So nice, we are trying to plan a trip in October.
same like 20 baht shops in Thailand. a lot different household items.
Yes, true. So much to look at 😎
Great video. We're gonna have to check it out.
Thanks so much! Yes, check it out. It's a really great shop full of all the bargains you never knew you needed 😃👍😸
Why would you not support the Took Took people? Not big shopping complexes. I find The Us $ exchange makes Cambodia very expensive, compared to Thailand, Thai Baht, 20 times cheaper, per Aussie $ I love Siem Reap, twice as expensive to stay, than Thailand, 3 times Vietnam. The Us Dollar exchange, completely obliterates the exchange rate.😊
We find Siem Reap cheaper than Bangkok but more expensive than KL. We haven't been to Vietnam in a few years but it was really cheap 6 years ago.
We try and support everyone by buying items from a wide range if places
@@ForRiel I don't think my email got through, yeh I would agree that Bangkok is a little more expensive, but it is a metropolis next to Siem Reap, next time I'll exchange Aussie dollars over there, I took to much US dollars last time. I spend a lot of time in the small villages in Thailand, dirt cheap, I also experienced that in Cambodia, the further out into the Country way cheap. I enjoy your info thanks, keep up the good work, 😊.
Really good video Claire Thank you.
Those price differences may not seem much by western standards but, they're on the basic items everyone needs so, the savings do add up.
$3 is equal to 4 beers so...😎😅
It s scary to see your husband showing up like a ghost
Boooooo! 👻😈😍💖😃👑
I like Angkor Market a lot! I know it's more expensive (because the wife can't stop telling me!!) Sometimes, I just need some old-fashioned Western food like Weetabix cereal and Heinz Tin Soup LOLOL :)
Yeah, and sometimes you just want to get everything you want under one roof. Totally understand as we are the same.
3 👍👍👍
😜🤔🤔❣️😌☺️😎
Hi Claire & Jeremy ,
I’m planning to go to Siem Reap next year and definitely will go to TyTy Mart , ThankQ for your video❤
You should! 👍😍
Look after the pennies and the £ take care of themselves. 😂😂😂
It's all about the best deal. Saving money is a good thing, as that means you have more to spend 🤩
Great info, thanks so much for investigating and providing the comparative price info - thanks!
Glad it was helpful! 😁
Great information. Thanks
Thanks for watching and commenting 🙂😁

Wonderful! I am sure you will love it.
In the Philippines we have ..Mr DIY 😂🥳👍
We have that as well 😁❤️🩹
You got me! We're up in Siem Riep in November so will hity TY TY Mart!
(I will still get dragged to pub street though!) 😅
Excellent! I'm going for a round of TyTy this afternoon 😀
A great report. Thank you. I go to TY TY for household items like clothes baskets, floor mats, bathroom accessories etc. and the lager supermarkets for food and beverages. Invaluable information as usual.
Yes, that's exactly what we do! Thanks so much for watching 🙂
Bought one of this 1 flame gas cooker for 8 !! Dollar by a local shop very close to Angkor market. Yes a brand new one, not a second hand.
That's a great deal 😁🤝
Great info (as always)! Some small savings here and there can really add up in how many beer cans one can purchase in the KOW :D
Thank you Marc! I just love how everything is priced. The shop is massive and really fun to browse. Will be great for setting up your apartment! 😀👍🙏
I met someone who knows you on a flight from HCMC. to Siem Reap,
Hi Eugene! We met up with him and he told us he'd me you! Thanks for sharing😊🙏👍
i often buy at 2500 shop (now) but not at siem reap .. but you must be smart because sometimes there are items have better price at other shops.. mostly 2500 shop location near school building,, the customer target are students..
We were told about TyTy a long time ago, it's so fun to look around.
hi do you know where i can rent motorbikes? im planning to stay in SR for 6 months, thanks
Yes, on Facebook, Dyna Scooter. Probably on Google Maps as well. They are very highly recommended.
great video, thank you, cant wait to go!
I was there again today 🤣😄😄
Ty 4 sharing ❤
Ty for watching 😸😺
Hello,
I'm sorry to ask this question here, but I couldn't find your email address.
My question is: In your opinion and expérience, what is the frequency and average duration of power outages in Siem Reap?
For your information, in the Philippines, the average duration is 8.8 hours and the frequency is approximately 5.7 outages per year. That said, there are great disparities depending on the region and climatic events.
Thank you in advance for your answer.
Best regard.
There can be very short breaks in supply, like a minute or two. These happen maybe once every couple of months. Bigger outages that are planned due to works are communicated in advance and can last a half day or full day, but these are very rare. If this is an issue for you, there are plenty of buildings that have generators. You can also purchase a UPS.
@@ForRiel Hello, thank you for your answer. The situation is realy better in Siem Reap if i compare with Philippines. With a UPS, If you don't want a very expensive monster, it will just run the fridge and a fan or two, for an hour or two. You can find more powerful, but it will be heavy and expensive. I think the durations and frequencies you mentioned are completely acceptable. During a long power outage, you need to find a place to cool off. Strangely, I didn't see a place to go swimming. I saw a waterfall, but it seems to me that it is quite far away. Several hours by scooter. Thank you for your answer. Best regard.
Excellente ✔️ what a great comparison and priceless info . - Thanks Claire & pop-up Jeremy
🇦🇺🤠✔️👍🙏
Glad you enjoyed it ☺️
@@ForRiel I’m just catching up - hello from Qingdao China 👍🙏
Glad you can still get us through the Great internet Wall 🧱😁
Did they have electric pressure cooker in seim reap??? I like your video I asked this question before no answer.??
Sorry, we missed your question. Yes, everything can be found in Siem Reap, no problem.
@@ForRiel thanks for responding I am planning to retire in seim reap very simple life like local. $850 per month hope is enough for old man single person. Just enjoy the culture and the nature. I love your video say hello to your husband to. You guys are very professional and humble God bless you both 🙏🏾❤
👌💪🙏
🤪😔😎🙏
Good information I like it I am planning to come to cambodiya on October can you find me room in home or apply
Thanks, easier to get a cheap hotel and go look around yourself.
Ankor market seems expensive for meat's, fish, breads, cheese etc
What store's have better pricing for above item's??
(I'm not willing to take the risk on meat's at wet markets)
I don't need a red love heart, i.just need an answer to my question, that's all 😭
