Hi friends! In this video I have some new spring makeup 2023 reviews! We are testing out some new products and prepping for the Sephora VIB Spring Sale 2023. For me, I’m 52. I use literally 1/2 of a pump and it works nicely for me. For younger skin I can see why this would be a big pass!

Always love your reviews and honesty! Recently picked up a dior palette (soft cashmere cuz I’m a neutral boring gal 😂) and love the rare beauty bronzer (I have the shade happy sol, it’s warm but doesn’t look orange on my cool toned skin). Glad to see they made a cooler toned shade now.

Thanks for your videos! My experience with hyaluronic acid is that they really need moisture/water. I would always use a moiturizing/water spray before I put it on and even throughout the day. Otherwise it just sucks the moisture right out of your skin.

I've heard several people remark how quickly they have already hit pan in the Jones road bronzer. Apparently the pan is very thin with very little product in it. I just checked Jones road website and they do not list the product weight for this item. It's a pretty color but the amount of people going through it so quickly is stopping me from buying. Maybe it lasts longer if only used as blush.

I wonder if part of that is due to the powdery-ness and all the kick up? Everytime you use it, you lose a lot of powder, right? But it does seem overpriced for the quantity/how long the pan lasts.
Wow, i watched this video earlier, the puppy here needs lots of attention😂😂 but so good, thanks for the demonstration of the new Rare Beauty Colour!!! Ordered this new sort of TF Terra colour at Sephora France, Jones Road Bronzer, beautiful, have shades 2 and 3, it's finally available for us here (Netherlands) ordered it a couple of weeks ago at Liberty London. Beautiful bronzers, wow, Hermes as well as Chanel can learn from these colours, talking about lighter skin than. The Givenchy concealer, maybe i'll try, but still have quite some open, and not a UA-camr here, when i am training my puppy a lot, only bit lipgloss. Of course still makeup days, but less now. Makeup i can do over and over again, the connection with my dear labradoodle puppy, he is almost 13 weeks now, the start is the most important, and we have to be very clear to him 😂😂although he is also soooooo sweet!!! Love the Dior shadow's. So beautiful on you. I'm a sucker for a great mascara. I will definitely try the mascara too. I am more oily so the foundation will be a pass for sure. Always enjoy your videos!!
Bronze sepia (short "e" for me) was on my radar, so thank you for applying it today. I think it was released for summer for the southern hemisphere in January

The rare bronzer is the one that started it all for me. I think it’s like a cream to powder formula because it’s so easy to apply and sets down. I have power boost as well and a similar skintone, maybe neutral to slightly warm. If you prefer the other shade tho i prob wouldn’t keep both.
I just got the T28 Getty bronzer and then milk bionic liquid bronzer in time travel and i can’t get enough lol. The milk one is def glowy i think it has jojoba oil in it.
I saw rare has the new blush shades and i def am tempted by the virtue shade.
For serum foundation, I use Perricone MD. First of all their skin care works. Second a drop or two, applied with fingers, gives a light, non greasy coverage, which works for my combo skin and for dry skin as well. I also like their No Foundation Foundation. Both can be applied easily and don't break down during the day. I would never use that much concealer. It's aging. Sisley is crazy expensive, but it's so concentrated that it will last months applied with their brush. Again good skin care too. Perricone has sales of 25-30% off several times a year. And some beauty stores have big discounts on the Sisley. Tanks for the video!💚

I am trying to decide between the No.1 Chanel or the new guerlain foundation. Are they comparable or completely different?
I heard that the new Guerlain foundation is a matte finish so they seem pretty different.
In french we say «say - pia». So when in doubt, just pretend you're using the french term!!! 😛

If you've tried the em cosmetics so soft bronze + sculpt cream bronzer sticks, how would you say it compares to the rare beauty ones? I have the so soft in Terra (which is a really good shade for my fair neutral/cool leaning skin, even though it looks dark).
^ You had me at dry skin. I'm on tret and oh gosh it made my "normal" skin dry where now i get dry patches with liquid foundation. But, have you found any mineral SPF that works under makeup ? My go to is elta md uv 36 which is amazing for my dry skin and for wearing makeup. Have you ever used the bare minerals powder foundation? I used it as a teen to college before i got into makeup and made my face look amazing and recently tried it again and was blown away how well it worked on my dry skin. I want super glow look, but i figured i can just add highlighter to my skin now or a glowy primer. Because finding a liquid foundation is so hard as it often gets patchy with my dry skin. Sad the Saie didn't work out for you as on camera it looks super glowy and beautiful.l
I don’t usually use a lot of mineral sunscreens because I like the cosmetic effect of the Japanese chemical ones. I found the Elta MD ones to pill unfortunately ☹️
@@SofiaSeesBeauty oh interesting! the elf md uv clear is my go to for makeup. The beauty of josean for me pills. But, the Skin 1004 Hyalu cica water fit works well under my makeup. I know the k-beauty/j-beauty chemical filters are said to be better but sometimes i wonder if down the road we will find out those are bad for us too! lol. We can't win
Thank you so much for your honest opinions- I was quite curious about this foundation but since I have dry skin and live in Iceland I am pretty sure it is not going to fit mea veary well. i love channel nr 1 and justcame home from a conference in Huntsville Alabama (of all places but boy did I shop at Sephora 🙈🤗🎉) And I bought the Hauslabs foundation an I am very much enjoying that and I also really like the Makeup forever HD, but the Mario one is really not on the top of my list, how do you find that one for your skin? Amazing to see how fast your channel is growing 🎉🎉🎉I jumped on your wagon when you had like 2000k you are amazin 💕💕 lots of love from Iceland 🇮🇸 ❤

The Kaja lippie is more of a cream, less shiny. And it smells yummy 😉
i have a grip of mascara to use up (from gift sets etc) but definitely want to try the Esum, it looks awesome!! i definitely want volume and length. is it a tubing formula?
non-tubing still bleeds on me ugh (including Isamaya) so i may still use a tubing one over them so i can still enjoy them all w/o turning into a panda everyday 🤣

Oh, I can’t wear super creamy, or shiny foundation, they settle in my lines. I almost was going to order it, but, I changed my mind. Only creamy foundation I can wear is CHANEL.
Curious how the esum mascara compares to the new Fenty (if you’ve tried it). You mentioned my current fav Caliray and I’ve tried Tower 28, too.
I haven’t tried the Fenty one yet. Curious if it’s long lasting
Not to mention, I'm extremely vampire pale with cool pink undertones and there's literally NOTHING for me in the saie foundation shade range - I love their original slip tint though!!
Hi would you compare that foundation with the Shiseido synchro skin Glow luminous fluid foundation? It is so easy to apply and great for dry skin
Hmm I haven't tried that one from Shiseido. I only have the original Synchro Skin Self refreshing foundation and that one is pretty different

Eek that foundation is a hot mess! I'd be returning that for sure. I feel the same as you about hyaluronic acid, it completely sucks all the moisture out of my skin leaving my face a scaly dried-up disaster. Nope, not for me. As for the Rare Beauty bronzer sticks, the Power Boost one looks orange, even the "cooler tone" one isn't that cool . . . For someone with fair-light skin that is very cool-toned, these don't work at all for me. Thanks for showing us the colours up close!

The foundation really looks bad. I think HA doens't go well with foundation, in general. I had a period of time where I couldn't use my Dior forever mat foundation because my skin wasn't well nourished I supposed, so it would be too dry. I once added a drop of HA to the foundation, thinking it would do the trick. It was aweful. The foundation would go everwhere, it would look like I had a mask on my face. Horrible. Thankfully I can use my foundation normally now, and I love it very much, it looks extremely natural, so it was just the HA mixed with it that created the "panic".
I love the quint and would really love to get it, but it is not available here in Italy, ufortunately. The summer quits are, instead, out at one retailer and not on the Dior website. Weird things going on :D.
This look was nice. Sepia should logically be pronounced as see-pia instead of sep-ia if you're basing that on the way the pigment/paint/tinting is pronounced. I am not sure why it is now basically at the level of a trend to pronounce it wrong, maybe because of gen z not knowing what it is.
You may like hourglass mascara if you haven't tried it. The caution mascara is very volumizing but has a thinner bristly wand and it does a really good job of separating and styling lashes when you get the hang of using it, and it definitely STAYS ON.. but it washes off 100% with no effort using my Dr. Dennis Gross alpha beta cleansing gel while I wash my face.
Have you tried polyglutamic acid in a serum for your skin? it is supposed to hold in the moisture and is included in some hyaluronic serums to make them work better. Like charlotte tilbury serum and some others.

was the Hourglass mascara sticky/heavy for you at all? i was so excited to try it but it felt sticky on my lashes and didn’t end up working out. not sure if that’s the formula or i got a dud?
@@hijennwu it is possible you could have gotten one that was a dud or had sat around for a long time after they made it before you started using it. But it does get more sticky to apply over time after it is opened. I find it harder to use with a lash lift, works best on straight lashes and really lifts them so definitely not going to work for everyone the same way.
@@SofiaSeesBeauty I actually really like the charlotte tilbury one and have the jumbo size of that. Kate Somerville dermal quench products are incredible and I know the pink “wrinkle warrior” version has it in there if they don’t all have it.

I bought the product to review it and wore it several times in preparation for the video. So I wouldn't want to return it without filming the review first
@@SofiaSeesBeauty Gotcha. I’ve never returned a beauty product, so I wasn’t sure what is allowed. I guess Sephora aren’t watching UA-camrs’ videos and flagging them like criminals so they can’t return products, lol. (Yes, that is what my brain imagined, 😂🙃)
What!? The Saie foundation is $40 , the Chanel is $70 😮 no thx.
For sure it's expensive but I rather pay for the quality. It's the only glowy foundation in this category that hasn't dried out my skin so far

I don't really get the "I didn't really like the product so I'm going to return it" mentality. You buy the product because you want it. You actually use it. You make it obvious that the product was used. Maybe it wasn't what you were expecting it to be so you just give it back? I would understand if you get some kind of skin reaction and cannot use the product. Or you opened the box (without using the product) and realised that you got a shade that is way too dark/light. What happens to this returned product? Do stores use it as samples? How many samples can there be if we have a lot of women with this mentality? I don't get it. It's the same as I would buy an apple because it looked delicious. I would take a bite, realize that taste is not something I wanted so I go back to the grocery store to give it back.
I think all returns are ultimately destroyed (not repurposed in any way).
That palette doesn't look worth the money at all. Eyeshadow formulas have come a long way and there are so many brands that offer much better for less IMO.
Omg I love Dior! For sure there are so many options out there but there is something about the silkiness of their formula that I don't find in a lot of other newer brands
You gotta be kidding, right? Dior offers one of the best eyeshadows! Once you’ll try it you would never say this - anything you see now, all these new brands - they don’t even come close to Dior quality! Maybe you didn’t like the color story, then you can pick something else, but quality? It’s phenomenal!
@@elenapolshakov3837 I am a hard core Chanel fan girl, but even I will admit the Dior quints are phenomenal quality. The Riviera quints of last year blew me away.
