I am making a video about Game Wardens! Just did a quick interview with one a few days ago. I would love to be able to reach out and ask a few questions to ya'll. Thank you for everything and stay safe!
Took me a lot of years to figure out what I want to become , 2 years corrections , 4 years military , currently working on my first year in college for a degree to become game warden . Hope my dream becomes true ❤️
Yall give it up for Mom and the Texas Game Warden.👏 Man I've always wanted to be apart of Wildlife and Fisheries here in Southeast Louisiana, but I think I'll lose all of my friends if I do that.🤷🏽♂️
How difficult is this academy from the academic standpoint?? Is the wash out rate high? for example in police academy they put you out if you fail a test more than 2 times..

All I heard was...how to "Become a douche no liked in High School who sucked at sports"
I was a small town cop for 8 yrs. Became a Virginia GW and working on 35 years with them. It sucked having to attend a second academy but it was worth it.
Park rangers work at a specific park usually and are mostly there to protect the Forest and park. Game warden focuses more on actual animal laws and wildlife hunting laws
I wonder if they say what spot you'll be serving in , or if you get to pick your own. If I had my choice, it probably would be Polk County (Livingston).
Not necessarily, but you do need a bachelor's degree to apply tpwd.texas.gov/warden/recruiting-careers/requirements

@@texasparksandwildlife That sucks! Game Wardens don't make much at all!! My lowest paid employee makes almost double what game wardens make. I told my son that would be a big no from Dad. ;)
really interested in this, though I've read and heard that it's extremely competitive to even get an interview. Im currently in my second year of college... I've read the applications, i've smoked pot two times when I was a junior in high school so I already feel hopeless thinking that that already ruined my chance lol
This is a great story. Mom did well, connecting her boy to the wider world.
This is inspiring now I’m confident to try to be a Game Warden
I have the pleasure of working with Zack! He’s very humble! He’s very helpful! Never hesitates to answer any questions we have for him!
❤️❤️
What exactly is a game warden because I want to be one when i grow up
Super inspirational. Hope to become one myself one day. Keep up the great work. ❤️

This video was well put together

Zack, you have a great Mom!
Beautiful story!
I wish I had become a game warden. But I'm ok serving my small town as a municipal police officer. We can't all enforce game laws

Cool, then l want to be park ranger.
Game Wardens are essentially State Troopers that focus on hunting and fishing related crimes.

When do you know your duty location?

Katy, Tx!!
When is the next cadet training?
October 2023
@@texasparksandwildlife I'll be honest. Not sure if that's enough time for me to get the requirements, but I'm sure gonna try.
Coast guard is the best law enforcement training in America
becoming a game warden is my dream
Really? It's like on par with being a manager at McDonalds. It doest pay much at all, so be used to not making much and walking around with a chip
I have to have college debt In order to sign up

Hi
Training trainees with a trained alligator… doesn’t translate well in the wild.
I hear they smoke a lot of weed.
no likes bro?
