Man, I tell ya, I love my full cage. I have seen some half cages that would seem to give enough mounting holes, but there's nothing like all the options on the full. The full one is actually pretty lightweight, so not a barrier in that regard at all for the Aircross 2. Great video!!! Question what settings you use when using the pocket 4k on the aircross 2? Whenever I tilt, my aircross 2 loose strength and I have to cut it off to set it back up!
Dig into your menus and autotune, this can be done from the app as well. That should adjust your particular setup by automatically changing power levels to each motor. Let me know if that helps fix your other issue.
It will work with and adjustable ND filter on the lens--and then the lens can be adjusted for focus or even the iris. But are you asking if the follow focus will actually turn the ND (variable) filter? If so, your only limits would be attaching an adjustable gear ring on the filter and using longer rails to get the gears lined up. I don't see this as a problem, just a rigging trial and error session. Thank you for your comment
Thanks for your reply. Yes that’s what I meant. I’d love for it to be able to turn the ND filter. I would use my gimbal so much more in run and gun if that was the case. Such a pain to have to adjust exposure all the time on a gimbal. I’ll look into the gears you mentioned. Thanks.
Hi Really thank you for the tips! That’s what I really want to know! And I wonder, without cage, is the bmpcc 4k still ok with focus on it? Cause I went to Moza store today and the seller failed to set up (the lens was almost same size of yours) and he said I need to buy another rig from smallrig if I want to use bmpcc 4k with moza aircross2 which is very upset :(
You do need a cheeseplate or some other kind of plate so that you can mount the rail rods or a clamp set up for the rail rods. Those are what will hold the follow focus in position.
Can the cage be a balance barrier? If so, what suits the Aircross 2 more a full cage, a half cage or none?
