I love the skid plate, the one on my FCX 24 power wagon you know got that rounded hump down the middle Of the skid plate, hung me up a few times out there at great Lakes Gauntlet
That looks pretty good, and an unbelievable value for a well built rig! I think steering scrub will always be a problem for portals at this scale. The portal boxes just have to be proportionally too big in order to be strong enough for the task. Overdrive would certainly help.
Does it come with matching body side magnets? I love that it has shock mounts on the lowers to convert to trailing arms! Hate that all the work is done for you, wish it was an actual build kit. I know why they included it, but I could do without the pre-chosen motor as well. Nice setup overall though. Great overview Tony!
Furitek is revolutionizing the micro world. I need one ASAP, or 2 or 3! Thanks for the really detailed overview. Only $199.00? I'm sold! I have spent over 1k on my scx24 Gladiator, lol.
Wow that looks pretty nice! I just bought an SCX24 Deadbolt to get into the mini crawler scene. Reaction Hobbies is 20 minutes from my house so I have to check it out! Your right, you can spend a ton of money on upgrades and you end up with almost nothing original, lol. At least these things are small 😂
Why does the Barebones kit doesn't come with drive shafts? It says motor and transmission not included, so I assume the drive shafts comes with it. If it says it wasn't included i would've ordered the almost ready to run version. Also, the chameleon motor doesn't look like it would fit. I'm very upset with furitek again.
I like it, but I'm not fond of the non-oil-filled shocks. What's the wheelbase on that? I'd like to put my Gladiator body on it but I bet it's too short.
It's too short for that. It's about 142mm which is like running C10 front links with Deadbolt rear links....but these are the same length front and rear to make that 142mm
@@CCxRC yea for sure, man I been having a hell of a time getting this rampart truck to be completed, I'm use the godzilla motor setup and within 2min the front axles the pins at the ends of axle slid out and snapped the socket of the cvd which than also seized up tranny which snapped the small gear in it. So I could not for life one find just front replacement so I got the enduro24 front and when it came housing doesn't line up and gears are plastic. I'm so frustrated with it. please if you have any idea on what to do about front axle please let me know thank you
The winter challenge this year is 1/24th scale crawlers. (Between my son and I ) this one looks great to start with. What about bodies ? Or do they run bodies ?
That is a seriously awesome set up... Way out of my price range, as I am very new to the hobby of R/C... but what I really want to know is where can I find that obstacle you were using?
how am i gonna use my upper links from treal or rcawd with this chassis if I buy the FCX24 chassis? one side of the upper links are thread and ride on the insert that rides on the chassis. This kit doesn't provide that option for us...
Comp ready with no overdrive? Just throw in OD diff gears. Wait. They don't exist for the FCX24 axles. Furitek is promising them at some future date. Currently, there is ONE overdrive option for that setup and it is the 14% OD transmission from Hot Racing for another $55. There are little to no options for some of the other parts, too. It's a lot of custom work and limitations just to accommodate the FCX24 axles. I just don't see the value and I argue that is isn't a good platform for people who are actually going to comp. If they made custom housings for the axles so they bolt up to any SCX24 chassis, bundle them with their Grasshopper chassis, and include OD diff gears, it's a whole different story.
I was searching for FCX24 upgrade parts for the new FMS MT24 and then Furitek drops this? Well that’s everything I was thinking. I need to rob a bank or invade a country just for the $$$
I regret buying the 6x6 version of this. Everything you want to uprade you have to buy enough to cover 6 of. Tires usually only come in sets of 4, so you have to get 2 sets and be left with one pair left over. Same for wheels and shocks. Furitek also has some serious QA issues. The mesh of the motor was horrible out of the box. The ESC smoked itself as I was trying to bind it. Once I got it running the pinion gear on the motor went flying off and disappeared because I was trail running it at the time. The portals were dry and noisy. The plastic gears inside the diffs are sloppy and stripped out on the 5th run or so. Really not happy with this rig.
Looks great! If you move the axle screw for the hub fromt the front to the back you will get more steering angle 😉
Cheers mate o7 🍻
Genius! Thanks mate
@@CCxRCThis may be a dumb question but how did you build your square crawler piece? That’s neat.
Are they not the same all the way around?
This really is a very interesting kit. Furitek ftw on keeping up with the market and staying current with what some of the mad men are doing out here!
Maybe little offset in on the wheels will help with scrub in turning and over should help us there anything u can shave down to help the turning.

This. is very true.
Wish it came with a esc and high clearance links. Super sweet still. I want to make a 4ws fcx24, this may be the ticket to start with.
Looks sick!

It does have the body magnets. It was in a bit of the video I cut out because it was getting long.
199 is a great price for a comp kit!

If you have spent 1k on an scx24, then you have have wasted about half of that for nothing.
It's not a bad starting point!
Already got one and just waiting on shipping bro 🔥
Wow that looks pretty nice
Question Tony where are you get that Little Mountain thing
Love that rig. But just bought a stock deadbolt.
Totally get that. There's a lot that can be done with a deadbolt.
Yeah I have the pro and the avatar, that is sweet chassis yeah yeah yeah 😁👍👍

Yes it is matter fact I need to get some more, where did you get yoursTwo sided tape
I want one, CCxRC tricked out. I going to put the '78 K10 body on it. Can I get it through Pilot Ryan shop or your store?
Absolutely impressive 👍
Yeah the battery up front the way I will set mine up
Great looking rig! Maybe for Xmas, lol.
Should I get that or the ready to run cayman??

Furitek have made the scx24 a lot better and I really like their stuff.
Man I wish knew this was coming before I started my 3rd rig. Looks like I need a 4th lol
haha. Say hello to #4

Dang it dang it, I love it yeah 🥴👍👍
What kind of charger do you use on that small lipo?
I have an adapter to use my Spektrum Lipo charger
I’m curious if the FCX 24 power wagon body world Bolt up to this chassis, Only way I will buy it

You can run SCX24 bodies. I put the jeep on mine. You'll see soon
Kool but need some solid axle monster truck action on the channel again
Hello from southeast alaska how's it going bro
It's going well in southwest Michigan! can't complain
That is a seriously awesome set up... Way out of my price range, as I am very new to the hobby of R/C... but what I really want to know is where can I find that obstacle you were using?
What parts did u use on that (other than the kit itself)?
It's all mentioned in the video, lol.
Injora Brass Beadlock wheels, Furitek Lizard Pro ESC, Furitek Avatar TX and RX, Boom Racing Hustler Tires

Are your links for the FMS FCX24 or a different platform?
If they are for an SCX24, then is a different platform altogether
@@CCxRC both my Treal links and my RCAWD links are for the FCX24.
What wheels fit? FCX24 wheels?
Do you think the B17 Betty body shell will fit
the Cayman ?
Yes, but the wheels android tires will stick out like the jeep
Are the shocks scx24 or fcx24? Will scx24 shocks fit?
Do you know which exact tire your running from the website?
53mm with black super soft foams: www.boomracingrc.com/10-hustler-m-t-xtreme-rc-tire-gekko-black-53x187mm-open-cell-foams-2-207704
John C Reilly?
I get that quite a bit...so I must sound a lot like him
What bodies fit this chassis?
I put an SCX24 jeep on mine

Omg that so so small that's a lot of money for that little bit of kit 😳😅
It's not bad when you consider just the motor and transmission sold separately are $99.
Man there goes more $$$
Sorry. Not Sorry. :)

looks heavy in the back instead of front

Really not happy with this rig.
Looks like its lacking flex. My modded store bought SCX24 has way more than that. Bet mine is lighter too.
It's not as much flex as my modded trucks, but still a decent amount. 2.5"
