  • Here we go again!!! Today i am tackling my leaking injector on a lovely Peugeot 407 2.0 HDI i have bough to build it up back to the level i like it to be my new daily toy. I would like everyone to please subscribe this channel as i really need more subscribers and most of people watch videos and like it but forget to subscribe so please subscribe it guys as i have tons of videos coming soon including: pivot bush replacement, rt3 to rd4 full swap, headlight redesign and rear brake light styling, speedo led swap and many many more service videos and issue tackling vids.

    Just a bit of advise for everyone , it is always a good idea to replace the small return pipe spring clip once it’s been removed because it won’t have the same tension in it when you put it back and can cause the return o ring to move about and leak..

    Thanks for you video, before replacing the injector did you had a problem with starting engine?

      Hi mate I can remember that my reason for injector replacement was a diesel leeking from injector fuel supply. And yes as much as it was annoying having a diesel around that injector it also affected a start of the car sometimes it can even give a fault such as too low or too high fuel pressure which might give eml or starting problem. I remember turning car over a few times before it start and liturally require only one turn over after replacement done.

    Sir, I have Puegeot 407 2.0 , 2009 year..
    It's engine oil temperature sensor is not working , at gauge , it shows at 0 always.
    I tried to find the reason and suspect that someone removed the sensor plug as can see a green plug hanging behind engine.
    May be the previous owner has some work done over there.
    I want to replace it myself ...but cannot find any online help.
    Did you made any video for that before ?

    Amigo o peu é igual a frio treme bastante depois de esta muito quente coisa minima. Pode ser injetor?

    Hi! Is it a same procedure for Bosh and Siemens injectors? Because some servicers said to me that Siemens is too difficult to change. I have Siemens injectors.

    I have the same engine in a 2009 Kuga, im told number 2 injector is faulty, watched the mechanic pull each plug, the engine acted how it should when injectors are pulled. Until he got to number 2. Nothing happened. So today, i repeated what he did, when i pulled the plug on 2, the engine acted how it should. It does it across all injectors. Had problems for weeks now, shaky engine, poor acceleration, occasionally limp mode. Poor starting, even after 3 or 4 attempts, as soon as she starts, engine malfunction and esp light come on. Ive cleaned the EGR, renewed the throttle housing, and even a new acelerator pedal!! my problem still persists! Could the injectors be caked with crud? And the tank is alomost always full of fuel. Sorry to be long winded, any advice welcomed. Also thanks for this video, doesnt seem too hard of a job?!

      If you occasionally have limp mode with esp + engine light on you can check your turbo boost valve. It's cheap and easy to replace so maybe worth replacement and see if it solve your problem

    Hi,on starting my car in the morning when cold it’s Smokey and feels like it’s on 3cylinders but after about 10 or 15mins and running warm it’s fine,there’s no fault codes,do you think this could be an injector? Also around the base of two injectors there a small puddle of oil,any help with be great 🙈

      Hi mate it could be injector seals if you see something looking like oil around injectors it's usually diesel wich looks like a black sludge after a while. If injector seals are gone you would hear a puffing sound. It might be a damaged fuel return connector leaking diesel and getting tiny bit of air in a system. It would explain a smoky start and poor performance for first few minutes. If the car would struggle to start you would probably be looking at sticky egr. I would get it scanned first with diagbox

    Greetings from Antigua.. I have a 407 V6 and am getting error code 0261 which means faulty injector 1,my question is which one is the number 1.

      Hello my friend I don't know exactly in a 4 cylinder engine it starts to count from a flywheel side not sure about v6 I think it's a radiator side of engine and flywheel side but not sure 100%

    Hi anyone know which injector removing tool to buy to remove really stuck injectors. I have a 2007 Citroen dispatch van 2.0hdi. TIA

      Best way is to soak it in injector crack spray or wd 40 over night should come out easy after that. Alternatively you are risking to damage injectors if you gonna use to much force

      @@Mad4FrenchCars thank you for your reply. The injectors have been soaking in WD40 for nearly 2weeks now not budging made no difference. May have to invest in a removing tool.

      @@dilshadali8909 Google a injector removal guys some does mobile service also can get a pull hammer or just tight a injector with something and use a lot of leverage to pull it out

    Nice video mate! I have got an problem with my injectors after ultrasonic cleaning them, I have the same engine as you v50 2.0d d4204t
    After a short time between the cleaning and the test drive 1 injector shuts of in higher rpm 2000+ now I got this problem on all my injectors the first thing I was thinking about that they are dead but I think they are not because it runs fine under 2000rpm do you have any suggestions for me? I have torque the nozzle caps 35nm I saw it was 30 so may be that be the problem? Or something different I don’t really know the issue I’m trying to find it!!

      You must have your injector leaking.. Do you have engine défaut warning that pops up when running above 2000rpm?

      @@TheAmazeer thx for your reply! I didn’t got an engine warning or any fault above 2000rpm like I said the car is running on 3 cylinders 1 injector is working bad..

      @@nathaniel.h7124 i think you have one injector stuck open or shut sometimes when you clean too much it blocks some dirt and the injectors need to be disassembled and cleaned or completely replaced

      @@TheAmazeer yeah that could be the problem I already have disassembled one I didn’t see anything dirt do you know the torque of the nozzle cap of the injectors? Can’t find it anywhere I was thinking 30nm but I’m not sure!

    Hi, I have a small / big problem I don't know either 😅. I started the car yesterday, it went round for a minute and then the engine suddenly changed, it started to hit something, it looks like an injector. I put the VIDA diagnosis on the car, no error, nothing. I cut the injectors one by one from the tester, when I deactivate it on 2, the car goes in 3 pistons but it doesn't seem like that beat anymore. Okay, I changed the injector with another good one in the garage and it does the same, I can't figure out what it has .. The car is a Volvo v50 2.0d PSA. I will also attach a video of how the engine sounds.

      It might be just injector seal. Check the claps around injectors if clamp is loose it might be that copper washer on the injector nozzle making noise.

      @@stefanh2222 I would change injector seals and also check all the injector clamps and bolts to make sure everything is OK before anything else

      You need to make sure the number on a top of injector is same then you dont need to tell your car you swapped it. If you have lets say number 4 on top of your injectors and you put 1 with number 6 on it you will need to tell your car about it with diagbox or peugeot planet othervise it will run very rough

      You should replace the copper washer they crush down to form a seal reusing is silly

      @@gembowicz you don't need to program it, if you just use same injector type. Injectors have a code and also a number on top of injector it's either 4, 5 or 6 and if your injector and replacement injector matches top number and part number you don't need to program it. I haven't yet done a video of injector swap as a full 4 injectors with different spec swapped and programmed.

    Now you must reprogram calculator with the reference of your new injector with diagbox and lexia cable

      @@TheAmazeer I’ve just changed an injector On a Fiat scudo injector number 9647247280, bought off eBay, same code as the ones in my scudo. Changed it, no coding, turned the key and fixed. No misfire, engine management light off. You only need to code them if they are different mate

      @@TheAmazeer btw I’m a mechanic mate. As long as the code is the same, and they are same class.. example, 4,5,6 . Then they don’t need coding.
