Got myself the same car, an year ago. Best decision I've made so far. I would suggest you to do some coding. You can disable the auto start stop, enable sport transmission, configurable sports mode Nd tons of other features. I bought an Enet cable for 1000Rs, did the coding myself. Absolutely worth it. I did some performance mods also. Brembo drilled brake rotors - 24K Stage 1 ECU remap - 30K Tein endura pro suspension - 1.2 L These mods make significant improvements to the already gem of a car. Service cost has been around 15K for me. I source the parts myself and install them at an FNG
Hi any way I can better understand the same things? Any guides you could redirect me to? I am looking to buy a 320d used and also want to DIY a few things
Thanks for your comment buddy! Will have a look at it Suspension costed 1.2L all in? Front and rear? Mine is slowly on the way out and I’m evaluating options
congrats, I drive the same model and year bmw diesel. It's clocked 80000 miles and still goes smooth like butter. I spend 15000 for service every 10k kms.
@santhoshyoganand service is very much affordable on these generation infact on any of the BMWs provided a little time is given on OEM parts. An airfilter from Mahale or Mann will cost around 2200 fuel filter from original BMW will cost 1650 or if u choose Mahale/Mann will cost 1400 cabin filter from Mahale/Mann 2300 fully synthetic engine oil from Mobil 1 will cost 4500-5000. if you plan to change disel filter which is supposed to be changed on every 3 service that will cost for 3500-3800 labour charge will be additional 1500.

music to my ears ! the perfect drivers car... one Q ... have u checked the carbon deposits in the engine, Cam etc ? i have seen few Bmwer with such issues.
Hey man! Thank you! In my case, I have not checked it physically but since the car has been maintained only at bmw and both myself and the previous owner fuel up only at either Shell/CoCo BP outlets - the deposits should not be much… A simple way to check is with the performance of the vehicle - if it performs as close to the company claimed performance figures (0-100 time, etc.,) then all is well 😃
Best review of the f30 3 series As owner of both f30 and new g20 I can confirm the build quality and material feel is much much better in f30 than g20 But performance of g20 is better Can't have both unfortunately Used f30 is best bang for buck and best option than f10 also. Back seat also f10 is not that much better than f30! Nice review again brother 👍

Thanks buddy! This is an interesting one, let me try and break it down from my perspective - having owned the f30 for almost a year now & having driven an e90 a couple of times. E90 pros: Excellent handling Raw feel on power delivery Cheaper to buy (than f30) but maintenance is same Cons: Rear seat space is abysmal Ride comfort is harsh Heavy steering at city speeds It’s pretty old now - so finding a neat and clean car is difficult F30 Pros: More modern More rounded - great balance of performance, handling and comfort Cons: Purists say it’s become soft and imho it offers 80% of the E90’s handling Rear seat space is average (but better than e90) I’d prefer the F30 any day
@@JRSCars that’s a solid breakdown. I’ve driven the f30 and loved it but not an e90 yet. I do have an e90 in sight too and it seems to be in a very clean condition so might go to check it out as well and that should give me a hands on comparison. Also what’s the odo reading on your f30? I’ve read that the n47 engine has serious timing chain problems that come around 1 lakh kms and it costs quite a lot to replace it. I was almost about to buy the f30 but since it’s a 2012 and driven 83k kms already I’m afraid the maintenance is going to be on a much higher side. Cheers, man!
@aadityasrivastava6887 Happy to help! Yes, mine had 46k when I got her, now at 61K Yes, timing chain has to be done at 1L km... pretty sure, it will be the same with the e90 too...
Great review, bro! Small correction. 320d is a fantastic car, but the 330i of both this generation (F30) and next one (G20) will walk the 320d. Of course, mileage would be horrible too, compared to 320d.
Yes, to be honest I do. The Laura was built like a tank and had a go-anywhere feel. With the 3, you do have to be more careful on bad roads and a bit more cautious in general
So far i have done one service at the dealership, and service has been great but pricey. Third party I’m sure will do a great job too, but I want to maintain the service records
I’m currently a college student from a middle-class family. I do part-time work and have saved up some money, with a bit of help from my dad. Should I go for a pre-owned luxury car under 7 lakh, or consider other models like the Honda Accord or Skoda Octavia? Logically, it seems a bit impractical since I would have to use non-expensive, non-original parts for maintenance. But I really want to get others’ opinions on this.
Hey buddy, I will not recommend getting this kind of luxury car for 7-10 lakhs - they are generally run down and beaten up (not maintained properly & odometer re-wound) It’ll be a bigger headache. An Accord is a good option, but it’ll drink petrol Cruze is good, but again parts and maintenance will be a problem - unless you find a trusted garage who knows what they are doing Octavia and Jetta are good options, but again pricey to fix - check my video on my Laura expenses I suggest you go for a used City, Verna or even a newer but slightly used Slavia or Virtus They may not be flashy like a premium car - but will be reliable and safe too Hope it helps
Nice review bro. Your car looks fabulous . On average how much you are spending for service? Were there any part failures and got it repaired/replaced?
Thanks so much man! General service i.e. oil n consumables comes around ₹30-35k So far the things replaced are only the wiper washer motor (very very pricey at ₹9k) and the AC cabin filter (very pricey at ₹5k)
@@JRSCars Thanks for the quick reply. Much appreciated. many people say that for every 1lakh kms we need to change all 4 suspensions and may be brake discs too. Is it true? Can we maintain the 6/7 years old luxury vehicles at outside garages rather than company service centres? Do we get genuine spares in the after market?
Suspension varies - I feel mine has to be changed in another 10-15k km (Odo is 60k now) Suspension wear and tear is purely based on road conditions and driving style - in Chennai 70k is kind of the upper limit unless the car has only highway mileage The car can be maintained outside at a reputed independent garage for around ₹20-25k & that’s a good option I’ll take mine to the dealer only for safety related (brake fluid and pads) and engine related servicing (oil and oil filter)

Great video, man! On a side note, would you prefer the f30 320d or an e90 320d from, let’s say 2011 as a used one right now?
Thanks buddy!
This is an interesting one, let me try and break it down from my perspective - having owned the f30 for almost a year now & having driven an e90 a couple of times.
E90 pros:
Excellent handling
Raw feel on power delivery
Cheaper to buy (than f30) but maintenance is same
Cons:
Rear seat space is abysmal
Ride comfort is harsh
Heavy steering at city speeds
It’s pretty old now - so finding a neat and clean car is difficult
F30 Pros:
More modern
More rounded - great balance of performance, handling and comfort
Cons:
Purists say it’s become soft and imho it offers 80% of the E90’s handling
Rear seat space is average (but better than e90)
I’d prefer the F30 any day
