I think it is so cool how Johnny Silverhand literally was in stage performing with his band then immediately after the gig went and dropped a nuka on arasaka tower. When i listened to the songs and heard the lyrics too it just made me see him as an even bigger badass than he came across in the games! Keanu really did him justice.
That's not what happened if you look into lorevthe band had been apart for years and Johnny imagined himself the hero and not his team. His death was different too. I learnt so much about the lore it's awesome.
@chrisclark6705 it's slightly confusing, but they're right. The memories we see of Johnny aren't exactly how things played out. He made himself the hero and had him be in the spotlight. To be honest, I'm pretty sure Johnny wasn't even the one who set off the nuke, that was morgan blackhand. Johnny (for the most part) put himself in Morgan's spot for most of his memories, even when Adam smasher puts him down, he built that memory up too. When Smasher shot Johnny, Smasher hardly even cared. There was no "rivalry" because smasher 1, barely knew Johnny and 2, Johnny was a joke to smasher. Again, this is another moment where Johnny intersects himself into Morgan blackhand's place, who ACTUALLY had a rivalry with Adam smasher. There's a whole lot you can find out, pretty sure alt tells you in game that Johnny is just storing his own ego with his memories, and half of them aren't even real or they are heavily stretched to make him look cool.
@@xAustishx And that's why the Phantom Liberty ending was by far the best one for me. Not only does V not go down a path set by a delusional engram with a grudge against Arasaka (like how he genuinely believed Arasaka was after Alt because of him) but he gets completely cured. And the way I played him he could easily bounce back after a while just working for the NUSA and eventually (in a decade or two) maybe getting cured as technology advanced anyway. Heck, there could even be a future with Misty (or not) considering their last talk. So overall there couldn't be a better ending for someone who literally came back from the dead. (Not to mention I was swimming in eddies at the time. I got a drink from a vending machine after the time skip and was pleasantly surprised when I saw my millions upon millions of eddies were still there.)
When Mike Pondsmith included short story called "Never Fade Away" in Cyberpunk 2013, back in 1980s, he started something great. I'm proud that Cyberpunk 2020 was my second (after WHFRP) RPG system and I'm damn proud that game studio from my country helped to flesh out Night City of 2077. With all it's flaws, after overcoming all the bugs, what we got is a masterpiece.
Played it on Ps4 while it was still "unfixed" had some minor bugs but nothing game breaking. This was already my favorite game before the 2.0 update. I fell in love with the story and world alone, songs and scenes from this game elicit real emotions from me which is just a testament to how well cdpr fleshed out Cyberpunk flaws and all. This is my favorite games and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
It was a disaster at start. But now it´s good. Like so many other games it could still be better. The "Open World" is still empty af. But wow, it has besides this fact so many great Gigs or random events. I just love it. And Johnny is a best Buddy, so f the haters^^
@@OfficialExquiKind of annoying that people keep tippy toeing because of what it was. We don’t do that when they remaster a game and totally ruin it like gta did. Here we have the reverse the game IS a masterpiece now and now is what matters.
@@MrHFAlucard Fr, i am way less into heavily story driven games than i used to be (usually they are just really bland or the game just doesn't expand on the plot much). But cyberpunk's story is just fucking incredible and raw. In any type of media, books, movies, shows, etc. I've always loved the darker and more fucked up plotlines which cyberpunk hits well. It's dark and night city is full of crazy bullshit, and i love it. I also love when stories aren't afraid to give depressing endings, especially with how night city is it feels perfectly fitting that there's no way out. Now after finally buying and playing phantom liberty (not quite done but i'm nearing the end i think because shit's getting intense lol), they expanded upon those dark and hopeless themes even more. Also dogtown is actually my new favorite location in the game i'd say. The dystopian ruined city is just a vibe that i absolutely love. And the way they introduce it with you climbing up and seeing the plane crash is just the cherry on top.
You really nailed it, man. Your Chippin' In video was VERY good, but this is so downright perfect that CDPR should hire you, if they haven't already. I'm serious, this pulls all right heart strings. Kudos.
Seeing a small video game music video about one of my favorite games brings me right back to middle school and high school watching amvs and gmvs with cool ass songs behind him good work bro
Johnny: Not bad, kid... Completely gonk move, standing up to Smasher, but ya didn't fold. You were born 50 years too late, and died 100 years too early, mad respect. 🦾😎🤘
I am thankful I decided to give this masterpiece a chance after 4 years.
Same here 😮💨

Better late than never at all I always say, welcome to Night City friend!

Johnny: If I have a favourite it's that one.
Well of course he does in game lore he wrote the song

@@toxiczombiewolf5692 In his memories u literally see him finish his gig then board an EV to seige arasake tower though. That didn’t happen?
@chrisclark6705 that's just his memory, made the way he likes it the most. The fight with Adam smasher on the tower also was different.
