i only remember this team from me running 30th every week in their car in nascar heat 2
I used to do bodywork and paint some of their stuff... Our shop was next to them in the same building. The guys that worked there were good dudes, the problem was at the top, he promised too much and didn't even know what you needed to show up
Facts.
I didn't even know this team Existed at all
To be honest same here too
Dylan Kwasniewski, anybody?
Major Bust!
Please, I do not need to be reminded of that man.
As soon as you said Nigerian, I knew where this was going
The owner asked my dad to help fund him. My dad owns auto body shops and an rv park lol. Then he asked if we could store car parts and it was very shady so we said no. He told my dad he didn’t want to do any paperwork and he would need a key to my dad’s shop. This is after meeting him for a total of 20 minutes and we are pretty sure he went around doing this to other people. My dad keeps his late model cars and heavy equipment in the shop as well as hundreds of thousands worth of tools. Dude was straight up insane. The Andrea moda of nascar. If you know you know
Do G2G Racing next 😂 I think their story is even worse than Obaika’s
what team even is that?
I actually had some interaction with G2G Racing unfortunately
This whole story sounds like something the writers of Talladega Nights would make up for a jokey subplot
They even tried to run I believe Road America with a race car driver who was between 6ft 6in - 7ft tall but couldn't race as the driver was way too tall but couldn't get a proper seat for him.
Thanks Darian for reminding me Tanner Berryhill existed, lmao.
I'm a pretty avid fan and I never even heard of them
Who else forgot about them
👇
I'm surprised no one bothered to investigate Victor Obaika for the scam that was his namesake team.
But getting the DSOTT coverage on it would happen before it happens
G2G racing next?
I've seen a reddit comment that says one of their trucks were the top 10 in practice at Daytona, then stupidly adjusted a tape in the grill and got slower and they failed to qualify.
This could be the NASCAR equivalent of Andrea Moda.
I'd love to hear the story of Conor Daly's Money team car from Daytona bouncing uncontrollably
lfg first
This team makes 2nd Chance Motorsports look a little less worse.
Considering that I know Peyton Sellers that ran at least one race for them, I now definitely have to ask him about this. I know he ran at Indy with them once and finished somewhere in the 20th+ range after a mechanical failure. I think it was cited as an oil leak. I’ve watched some of that race so I’m seriously wondering how he outqualified some people for that race lol
@@WookieDrives dang, lol, well sounds like the conversation should be interesting next time I see him at the shop
Obaika is NASCAR's equivalent of NFL's Jamarcus Russell iykyk
Obika racing is making Both bk racing and live fast motorsports top teams
It even makes Angela's Motorsports look decent.
I think a remember one of their cars causing a late caution at Pheonix in I think was 2018, but I had no idea the team was this much of a clustercrap. Great video.
This is bad but Lepage Motorsports was bad to start if you ever heard Kevin Lepage on the scene podcast very similar story to this with inspection.
The Most Forgettable Team in NASCAR History
You should do a video on America's Racing Team.
My name is Guy
Long story short: they had potential but incompetent leadership ruined them. Reminds me of Andrea Moda’s F1 team in 1992
This is like 2nd Chance Motorports, Rick Russell Team. Idk, but it gives the same vibes.
All I remember from the team is that Johanna Robbins (formerly Johanna Long) made a one-off start for the team at Iowa in 2016, where she finished 27th in the #97 car.
lets gooo baby
My dude!
Let me know when Victor threatens to sue you for something ludicrous.
I remember Obaika Racing from the 2018 Phoenix Fall race.
this is a really good video, I always love watching videos about teams that are pretty much just shit posts but a nascar team lol
I remember Okaiba more in XFinity than Cup, I had no idea they were owned by an African or that they were in complete disarray. I thought Okaiba was some Japanese company, shows what I know. Glad you showed the 2018 car at Texas, I had hot passes that weekend and got one pic of that car in the garage. I don't remember if it even got on track.
G2g racing is probably right up there with obaiki racing.
I’ve heard some crazy situations with that 50 car of the money team racing.
Changed ownership group and have only raced 1 time this season with Ty Dillon.
The situations I’ve heard. Omg
oh yeah the zebra car from Heat 2
One thing that these guys were, fashionably late.
Marty Robbins
hello darian, have you heard about luca salvadori's death? if yes,are you planning on making "gone too soon: luca salvadori" ?
r.i.p luca salvadori 1992-2024 💔
Dylan Kwasniewski's career was probalay finished off because of this team
Nigeria. Everything makes sense.
This is almost as farcical as the Andrea Moda F1 team.
Babayka racing? 🤔
John wick is on it
Feel like it’s been a minute. Glad to see you back.
This team is the definition of rushed.
spithy
Who?
