What makes it funnier is I don’t even own the hydro flask and had to borrow one for that shot.

my ebrake broke the very first time I used it while moving, leading me to believe only the fear of getting sent to the scrapyard kept my mr2 from rolling away into traffic.
That may have been a minor overlooked issue with their design idea...

I don’t normally name my cars but honestly not a bad idea. I’ll consider making it official haha. I’m in the middle of painting the car and plan on doing red with white and some pink decals/highlights. But doing a Misato scheme that’s red with black and some purple decals may actually look sleeker. I may have to draw up some samples to compare now hahaha.

As an owner of an AW11 this is 100% on point.
and thats not even counting the visual, everyone drools over the AE68, but the AW11 has the looks, layout, and its a bit lighter if im not wrong. and knowing how to use snap oversteer can actually really help you corner, gotta have some big nuts though. maybe a helmet too.
Love it regardless, man. Has a lot more polish than my try-hard review, and your night shots and colours just make it so much more aesthetic.
Though it may be obvious to most of you, I feel the need to come out and bluntly say this video is meant to be a joke. Just thought I’d try something new for a video and mix things up from the usual basic car reviews of people reiterating the same information.
Also I am never filming in a Taco Bell parking lot again. Too many judging eyes wondering why there’s this guy filming his beat up car while they wait for their Crunchwrap supremes. Unless Taco Bell wants to sponsor me on the next video...

MINE was SUPERCHARGED. I put some sticky back velcro on a big coffee cup and it stuck pretty well to that spot on the dash. Pink bunnies . It was a GREAT CAR.

Man idk if I got lucky or some but I just bought an MR2 Haslbeck Edition and it was kept perfectly. Zero issues with the engine literally no rust, nothing with the handbrake nor the dashlights, rubbers all in perfect condition. 🤔 Happy that the German Opa kept the car in perfect and original condition

Love my AW10, i have driven it as well as i can and its in relatively good condition. Also when i got it it needed tons of work
I had NO CLUE the D author wanted that MK1 MR2 to be THE car. It makes sense though, it's such an amazing vehicle. Though Keiichi Tsuchiya obviously made the 86 into the actual thing countless times.
My MK3 Supra is completely different in every way, but at least with her I don't have to worry about spinning out....well not as much.
Wow I struck gold twice with both of my mr2s I guess, 300$ for an 86 and 360$ for an 87 both rust free but with blown engines I had to replace

You can leave it in gear actually, so there's no rush I suppose
@@man-hp7cd I ended up getting the passenger side working by tightening up the adjuster that is under the skid plate (middle of the car need like a 10mm socket or something iirc) so I would start there and see if you can get some use back into it. I am currently in the middle of a engine swap so it has become a lower priority fix as I just park it in gear like you said but once I am done I think the whole rear brakes will get a overhaul

@@man-hp7cd silvertop 4age. Never done a swap before and from what I could tell it was the easiest and best option for my budget. Also a big fan of the ITBs and 8k redline haha.

I can relate to every single thing in this commercial. At first I thought I should be mad that my MR2's sitting because of leaking clutch fluid and a ruined alternator from a few drops of rain, but then I realized this is actually the most safest feature they could have added to this deathtrap on wheels, right next to putting the gas tank underneath the passenger seat.
This whole time I thought the letters in MR2 stood for "More Repairs sucks 2 suck" and that I'm truly living a cursed existence, but then I remembered that somebody else in the future is going to have have to spend a stupid amount of money for the same privilege of owning one of these bad boys but in an automatic transmission.

@@RetraCast i fully intend to, my man. My main concern is that I dont wanna make too many expensive mistakes, ya know? I've got help from my family, but until I know what I'm doing, I don't know what I'm doing
I feel it. The biggest and easiest thing you can do is just routinely check your oil level and top it off as needed. These old engines either burn or leak oil so it’s good to check the dipstick when the car is cooled. That and actually changing oil when scheduled.

What stereo did you use in yours?? My oem one turns on but cant play music. So i got one out of a toyota pickup. Plugged in but the cig lighter and buzzer stopped working.

Damn, I feel lucky. Mine only has a slight oil and radiator leak and maybe just some new tie rods and deteriorated rubber seals from my side mirrors.

Oil and grease degrades rubber and plastic in the case of your seals try dash protectant( like amor all) or some silicone spray.

I'm gonna probably pick up a fiero gt today, but the mr2 aw11 is my favorite mid engine layout between the two. Since I live in puertorico, both are very rare however right now there's a fiero gt and its a MANUAL. Not only that but a good ass deal so in a few hours am gonna check one out, love both cars
I almost got a fiero as well just cuz MR2s are so much harder to find. But I’m glad I got the one I did.

You messed up the years in the beginning. I think you meant the aw11 was made from the mid to late 80s. Instead you said just the mr2. Even though they made it until 2007. Idk if it was a mistake or said on purpose. Just pointing that out.
