It's insane. I'm obsessed with this song. I haven't obsessed over a song like this since I was a teenager (I'm twenty-eight). I have been playing this over and over for days. For me, it's the perfect blend of nostalgia, melancholy, and sweetness. Or maybe I've just finally snapped. =S
That version is really pretty. I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one who felt that way. I finally quit listening to it daily a couple of weeks back. It was really an odd experience. There were a couple of weeks where it just felt like I was walking in my sleep, one day just fell into the next. And this song was exactly what I needed at that time. I don't know if the tone of the song reflected my emotional state at the time or what, but that was really different. I definitely won't forget that couple of weeks thanks to this track. I used to listen to this song in the car with my auntie when I was little, like 10 or 11. Now I'm 26. This song gets me thinking about the kid I used to be and the hardships I didn't even know I was enduring.
