As an orphan myself, Meet the Robinsons hit me like a brick to the face, back in the day, I took my little boy to watch the movie, at the end, he told me "Dad! That's you!!" Referring to little Lewis, I really struggled holding back the tears, excellent movie and song to go with.
My dad abandoned us when we were really little. Every chance I had from a then till I was an adult I would look for him in other people's faces, phone books and even the internet as soon as I had access. When I saw this movie I also broke down and finally stopped looking.

I'm opening a restaurant. From all the hardships and bad choices on my end, I've redeemed myself to become the most anticipated restaurant entrepreneur in my town. We aren't promised tomorrow, so live for today ❤️
Its the heart that really matters in the end. I always listen to this song whenever I reach my lowest point. I hope one day… i listen to it and cry happy tears instead of sad ones. Let’s keep moving forward, everyone!
This song really hits me where it hurts. My grandfather died recently and it was a really unexpected situation. We found him dead in his bed and I don't even know how to explain it but my tears just kept gushing out. After crying out so much, I thought that I wouldn't cry anymore. Never did I know that the hardest part was when the coffin was getting buried. It really made me feel the sense of being left behind. A few months prior, my great grandmother followed suit. It felt more heartbreaking as she was the one that connected the family and with her gone, it felt as if the family was breaking apart. 1 month and a week has passed since her passing and it still doesn't feel real. Both were a great part of my life and I am very grateful to have them as my family. I just wished that they stayed a bit longer in this world, with us. Excuse me for this long story. The song just reminded me of them because it just happened recently and it's still a fresh part of my memory.
Usually I just read the comments and move on but I wanted to say I could understand the pain. I lost my grandfather and grandmother in last 6 months. Before I knew who my parents were I knew my grandparents. Its been few days back that he had called me and now I sit here alone listening to the song. Happy for the time I had with them. !
This song reminds me of my daughter's 2nd grade graduation. They made a slideshow of our kids working and playing throughout the year. Not a dry eye in the room! Thanks Rob Thomas! She turns 21 this month 🤗
I cry every time I hear this song. I heard it for the first time the day I lost my dog, my best friend since I was two. I interpret it as saying that the little things matter, even if they seem insignificant. That when those things are gone, you really notice how big they were. Great quality video, thank you!
I sang this at a karaoke place after COVID-19. I am a teacher and have a long commute. We had to do remote teaching, and I never felt so isolated when I missed my students. This song was so powerful that we can always recover.
I took my niece and nephew from their abusive mother. This song helped me a lot to get thru all I went thru as a kid and I'm making them listen to it as well.
It's been almost 10 years since I've heard this song and the nostalgia really hits hard. Meet the Robinsons was one of my favourite movies as a child and now I just watched it again recently. This song takes me back to those calm and happy days. Reading all your comments and experiences are so touching. I'm just glad that I share the same feelings as all of you and that I'm not the only one who feels this way. Let's all just keep moving forward!
One of my favorite movies. Hearing this song just brings me right back to the first time I saw this with my then 3 year old daughter (she’s 19 now 😢) I love the quote at the end of movie. Around here, however, we don't look backwards for very long. We keep moving forward, opening up new doors and doing new things… and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths.”
and dont forget to "Keep moving forward"... I always try to keep in my mind that never give up in my dreams and I almost cry whenever I watch the movie and hear this song!
Life is full of ups and downs, laughter, pain, sadness, gains and losses.. However, we can get through it all because I believe each and every one of us has the strength to keep moving forward ! Having lost two beloved relatives recently, it just feels like my family is slowly falling apart and it's unbelievable, yet we still stay together through these tough times with much love and courage; along with walking with God and Lord Jesus. Really, they are all that I need in life to keep me going as I realise I am truly blessed, and I am certain others can do the same with having God near them. Thanks Thomas for such a memorable song :")
Im only 12, someone very important to me is a alcoholic, my mom and dad are divorced ! I live away from my best friends! My life is so messed up, i don't even deserve this! This song makes me cry! But i always remember to be positive! Always keep your friends and family, and God close! Because those are the on,y things that will help you, and comfort you. Cherish the good moments ... Don't let the horrible stuff get to you. I would know! So thats why i love this song! Even though it makes me cry. -Gretta
Gretta Hausken I'm going through a similar situation as well. I'm 13, I'm currently attending my 6th school in 8 years, my parents are divorced, one parent cares too much, one too little, but it does get easier. Stay positive! The night is always darkest, just before the dawn.
I am not 12 nor 13 anymore but I still remember how it feels - I too had a disfuncional family- but God showed me the way... Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior! You are not alone, you have never been alone! You are loved and a beautiful future awaits you, don’t give up, God loves you!
Young lady, you are wise beyond your years. Your words made meh ave faith in our next generation. Please keep that positive attitude that you have. Life is going to throw a lot of curve balls at you. Jesus will get you through every strike and you will hit a home run at the end. May God bless you child and I pray that you have many treasures on this earth and in the next life. I hope to meet you one day. Check out a program called Alanon (friends and families of alcoholics). It saved my life 30 years ago and still does. www.al-anon.org
Meet the Robinson got to be my favorite movie of all time cuz you can relate to your life but no matter how difficult life is... you need to KEEP MOVING FORWARD. That’s what makes these “little wonder”.
I get good chills or goosebumps when I hear this song, even if I'm upset or angry this song cheers me up and melts my anger away into nothing. The one in my life was mad at me so hopefully she is listening to this song as well. Even if songs don't help her the way it does with me, I hope this song and it's words will help melt the anger away from her heart.
and I'm here again listening to this song, why? those 3 words never fail to remind me that I always have a reason to fight for myself, to fight for someone. Yes we have different problems but we all have reason to "keep moving forward"
Our graduation song💞😢 it reminds me all of the happy memories with my classmates all the laughs, cries, paperworks and hardworks😢 Every lyrics struck me so much 😢
"Keep going strong... you're stronger than you think" -Christina Grimmie I really cry hearing this song cuz it reminds me of her and her powerful singing voice.
This song is so close to my heart ❤ I have already lived this song so many times over. I can't tell anyone what it feels like to hear your heart slowing down and not being able to talk. Inside you only hear in your ear your heart beats so distance and unable to speak, you have a peace within you to let be..be! You die in your friends arms- only to make up 3 days later on life support. So frightened where you are. This song is so close and defining to me. I want people to know this isn't just a song..this is life! And I am blessed to be here to share with you the meaning of this song 🎵 ❤
my brother passed when I was 10, he was 23 I feel like I only had a few small hours with him, “but these small hours still remain” hits so fcking hard 🥲
It's almost 8 hours before the start of our Clinical Recognition and I still have not memorized this song. How can I? My voice always breaks at the first word of the song 😅
This is the song that would play when a WWE/AEW star dies, someone pretty big... This sounds like something that could work for the Ric Flair tribute video when his time eventually comes to an end...

My best friend sent me this song years ago when I was young and heartbroken over someone who didn't love me back... And I love him for it.
This has helped me so many times when my MS has me feeling hopeless. Reminds me that life is worth it no matter the hard times that come.
