Oh awesome, I saw the speedrun and was hoping to eventually see your original response to it. I wonder if Outer Wilds (not outerworlds) is something Jello likes. I'm still not 100% sure what his taste is, but that game is also a gem (with a time mechanic)
When I was 11 a camp counselor showed me a game, we were discussing danganronpa and he said it was bad and he liked this more, and to this day i have wondered what it was. But this looks about right and the release date adds up so i'm like 80% this was it. So I just want to thank Jello and co for probably solving one of the regrets that would have kept me as a ghost when I died.
The only thing I didn’t like about the SB is that at the end you get just barely the tools to save every one but you can’t as each save triggers a cutscene
Even without the cutscenes, I have tried this before but barely don't have enough time to save both tequilla and sixpence, really is a shame though, would have made for an interesting finale
This game was absolutely fantastic, loved the style, loved the music, loved the weirdness, loved everything about it... Aside from the ending. Which totally ruined it. And it didnt have to! The ending gave itself an out to keep things interesting, and they DIDNT TAKE IT! One of the *very* few pieces of media ive ever enjoyed where the ending legitimately retroactively ruined the whole thing. Disappointing. I 100% completed the game in the process of playing normally, and i dont encourage anyone to do the same. Very worth playing, not worth finishing, VERY not worth completing.
@@happyplum2822 I literally cannot discuss that without spoiling it entirely and thus ruining the game. Otherwise I would have done so in my comment. Appreciate you asking tho, but yeah, i dont want to just throw spoilers out there. You can look up the ending yourself though, you'll be able to IMMEDIATELY see the issue. I'll make a second reply comment that's super far under a readmore and even then i only feel comfortable giving the general gist and even THAT basically gives it all away. So, be warned, you and whoever else chooses to read the following reply.
@@happyplum2822 Vague but still very big spoilers for the ending of Sexy Brutale: . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . It's the first piece of media ive consumed since the damn 90s that tried to earnestly pull the "It was all a dream" last minute twist and expect it to not ruin things. It's not ACTUALLY all a dream, it's a BIT more justified than that, but BARELY. Still absolutely ruins the whole plot in MULTIPLE ways
@@BlueDavrialI mean that’s exactly the point; by now it’s rare enough that if it’s foreshadowed there’s nothing wrong with it. My problem with the game is the opposite where everything works perfectly together except that the great feeling gameplay is wasted on insanely simple puzzles where you barely need to actually time anything or follow anyone because I guess they were worried the repeats would get too boring if you actually needed to rewind more than twice?
@@BlueDavrial Oh, thank you for thinking about spoilers! I didn't even consider it for a split second! I'm still collecting my thoughts, but I think I agree with the sentiment Jello has of "could've been an A+, is a B+ instead" but the concept is kind of fascinating enough and the ending is sad enough for me to be a bit more kind to it then I think most would be. It's just one of those games that was hampered by its potential.
Silly Jello, ALL the Persona games are about good gameplay and terrible story (except maybe P4). Oh, and about Marquis: I believe the american pronunciation is "Mar-kee", but in british it is "Mar-kwis". I guess the british were more particular about keeping noble titles and front-door overhangs seperate.
oh man, Jello was ahead of his time with that "Grimace is a murderer" joke
This is one of my favorite games, it's such a vibe
And that main theme is so gooooood
Oh this game is so awesome. Definitely a hidden gem.
A friend of mine worked on this game as an artist! That team did an amazing job!
Jello's love for sexy brutale origin story stream

Heh. The start to this reads wonderfully differently now.
Such an underappreciated game. So good.

I think that fits the theme of the game really well though.
My least favorite part of SB is that you can’t save at all past 6am. Very dumb design choice.

3:54 this hair is very heavy so i have to walk like im sully from monsters inc!
Jello i swear i heard your voice in the new one piece english dub
I play King Stelly and I'm a lot of randos

What did you dislike about the ending? Or what would've improved it? I didn't play, only watched, so I barely remember and am very curious.
