There's an easier way to do question 22 on module 1. 45:39 We can use the formula -b/2a to find x (the formula of the vertex) b=9 a=-2 x=-b/2a x=-9/2(-2) x=9/4 Now we substitute/plug our answer for X to find Y. y= -2(9/4)^2+(9*9/4) y= 81/8 2y=c c=2(81/8) c= 81/4 It's effortless and quick to apply since you'll shove everything into your calculator, you just need to know the formula. Also, this formula can be used in any quadratic equation where you have x and y, you can find x and then find y and since you've already found them both that's your vertex
Yeah that's important! You should note that your strategy will only work to solve a linear-quadratic system with a *horizontal* line. For a slanted line, you should use the discriminant!

About question 15 (26:03) - since it says that 380 is the total number of points, then doesn't that also mean you have to know the values of G and R to answer "How many more points is a red token worth than a green token"? Which of course is impossible with the information given.
G is the number of green tokens. R is the number of red tokens. Does knowing either of those variables tell us how many *each token is worth*? Remember, every term in an equation must have the same units. For example: 2 inches + 3 miles = 5 kilometers --- makes no sense! so... 5G + 45R = 380 380 is POINTS so 5G and 45R must also have units of points. This means the coefficients have units of "points per token" 5G + 45R = 380 (points per green token)(green token) + (points per red token)(red token) = points If you write this out using fractions for "per" on paper, you will see that the tokens cross out and you get points + points = points This is called Unit Analysis. Very similar to a unit conversion but a little different. Remember, all terms in an equation must have the same units!

Basically -3-(-17/4) =5/4 5/4 is the distance from one x-intercept to the midpoint To find both x-intercepts you need to subtract and add our distance to the midpoint -3+5/4= -7/4 (our second intercept and also our answer) -3-5/4= -17/4 ( the intercept already given) The reason we either subtract or add is because when moving from the midpoint left or right you do the previous operations based on the direction of the x-intercept you want to find

To move terms to the other side of an equation, you perform the opposite operation to both sides of the equation. In that step we: "added 4x^2 to both sides" and "subtracted 18x from both sides" Does this clear things up for you?
You may bring your own calculator (a nice scientific one is a good idea). However, Desmos (a very powerful graphing tool) is built into the Bluebook App on test day and can be used to solve many of the questions. You can use Desmos here: www.desmos.com/calculator

For example:
2 inches + 3 miles = 5 kilometers --- makes no sense!
so...
5G + 45R = 380
380 is POINTS so 5G and 45R must also have units of points. This means the coefficients have units of "points per token"
5G + 45R = 380
(points per green token)(green token) + (points per red token)(red token) = points
If you write this out using fractions for "per" on paper, you will see that the tokens cross out and you get
points + points = points
This is called Unit Analysis. Very similar to a unit conversion but a little different.

@@Tutorllini Just a quick question. I have around 2months to prepare and I can pull off 3-5 hrs per day to study and I'm equal on both maths and english (620,630 (first test)), can i improve my score to around 750 on boyh modules? If yes then your insights will really help me and I will be forever grateful.
Thanks and have a great day!
@@veinsenpai7530 Maybe? How should I know? We have never met!
I suggest you come up with more specific questions and ask them here:

Best of luck!
Can u guys help me form a plan I have no idea how to approach this test do I just focus on the 7 I think practice tests n understand the questions concepts n I’ll be good or what ?
could I get a link to the calculator program please? My SAT is in March
You don't need it! I made these videos while the paper SAT was still going on and I completely forgot about Desmos. I recommend you master Desmos and learn to use a quality scientific calculator. I have playlists for both of these. Best of luck!
hey for 44:26 how did +18x turn into -18x? im a bit confused, thanks for the help
To move terms to the other side of an equation, you perform the opposite operation to both sides of the equation. In that step we:
"added 4x^2 to both sides"
and
"subtracted 18x from both sides"
Does this clear things up for you?
@@Tutorllini ohh yes i see! i subtracted c on both sides im a bit dumb, i see what you did now! thank you
@@Tutorllini also at 1:29:49 you got B but when i did it i also put B but answer key says it's A
@@fits248 The answer to that question at that timestamp is $161.53 - hope this helps!

wouldn't question 22 on module 1 be 26 because I put it in desmos plugged in 24 for d but it didn't pass through the line but 26 did?
Here you go - hope this helps!

Does the college board website provide a calculator on the test ? Do we bring in our own calculators on test day ?
You may bring your own calculator (a nice scientific one is a good idea). However, Desmos (a very powerful graphing tool) is built into the Bluebook App on test day and can be used to solve many of the questions. You can use Desmos here:
www.desmos.com/calculator
can i please get the name of the graphing calculator you use and is it allowed in sat examination rooms?
The calculator in this video is the TI-84 Plus CE. I highly suggest you learn Desmos and bring a quality scientific calculator (this video is out of date, I made it back during the Paper SAT).
You can master Desmos here:

in module 2 i don't understand the last question why choice B isn't correct . it is SSA , is not the same of SAS ?
SSA is not a triangle congruence theorem. See here:

@@Tutorllini Ok thank you, i understand it.
Will it be really important to score more in the first module to get to module 2B instead of module 2A as difficult questions would account for higher scores?
Yes - it is always important to try to get every question correct - just like any test.
how do i get the collegepanda program on my calculator?
Oh I made this video back in 2022 while the Paper SAT was still going on. I highly suggest you get a scientific calculator (because a scientific calculator + Desmos can actually solve MORE questions than a TI-84 and Desmos).
TLDR: Don't waste your time with calc programs on the DSAT.
Best of luck on your exam!
how we gone a solve these question without pen and paper.
You are provided with scratch paper on Digital SAT Test Day.
what is the name of the calculator you are using?
TI-84 Plus CE. Since making this video, I decided high quality scientific calculator + Desmos is best. See my recommended list here:

how to plot Module 2B Q19 1:48:17 on Casio fx-991es plus
You can't! You should use Desmos!
Eyo bro u not gonna tell us about that calculator I need it bad
Hey!
I realized after the Test #1 video that scientific calculators + Desmos is the better option. I go over Desmos in the future videos as well as in my Desmos course.
The calculator I was using in the video is the TI-84 Plus CE.
Qn 21 is tricky af.
Can we use the calculator during the test, because I don't think that no other software can be accessed while using Bluebook
The idea of the software emulator was that you would own the physical calculator and bring it to your exam. You may use Desmos and a physical calculator on all DSAT Math questions. You can find my suggestions in this video:

I don't understand your question. Could you please explain it to me?
On module 2B 18 why you've multiplied them with √2/√2?
Logic behind it please 😭
This video might help. I suggest you get a scientific calculator that can simplify radicals for you.

why did you do the easier module 2 :/
I did both the easier and harder module 2's in this video. I want all students of all abilities to get the help they need from my videos.
is module 2 the harder or easier version?
Module 1 = Medium
Module 2A = Easy
Module 2B = Hard

what software do you use for the calculator?
I highly recommend you use Desmos and a scientific calculator (this recording was made before I knew about Bluebook Desmos). Here are my recommendations:

Hi @tutorlini. My name is Serge-Alain. Please could you do a complete digital practice with desmos as much as you can. I am an international student, I have been poorly taught mathematics during my secondary school, for that am really bad at maths. but through your channel and videos, it has helped me a lot and made me to understand and find maths easy. Your desmos lesson has helped me a lot thereby saving a lot of time and making my answers more precise thereby giving me confidence that yes I can do it. Please also do a video on Isolating Quantities. I have been really finding it difficult and failing it all the time. I feel "FUSTRATED"😫. Really wish I had money for your tutoring services it would have been great💪.
THANK YOU SO MUCH
YOU'RE WELCOME SO MUCH
