We use Videoscribe to create our whiteboard videos, and it's an excellent tool. We don't use the clip art gallery within the program. Instead our cartoonists create custom cartoon images in SVG format which work really well with the Videoscribe software. It didn't take them long to get the hang of it, but beware of a glitch where the hand draws the outer border of a line before filling it in, rather than just drawing the line. You have to adjust the line thickness to prevent this problem occurring.
It is because you are changing your brushes. You need to have your brush set to uniform and not taper the ends and then it will draw it as you draw. I use Illustrator so not sure if the settings are the same if you are using another program but just try using a standard brush.

Nice program but not exactly cheap for a simple program that just draws on an image. Over 600 bucks to buy it outright vs a monthly amount. Be nice if they could let you buy it over a period of time or maybe lease it and use some of the lease cost to towards buying the program. Is there a more in depth review of this software.. so far it seems quite limited

When I import them into videoscribe, sometimes the line thickness increases after the drawing animation completes. It doesn't always happen, it is unpredictable and it's making it difficult to work with videoscribe. Have you heard of this before? Are there any fixes? The videoscribe forums are no help in this matter.
OK... I'm trying VS and have one issue I cannot figure out. Just how the heck do you end your design? When I'm done with my last image/text that is going in the design and play it back, at the end, it shows several of the last page images instead of JUST the last one!
I notice that in case I change the shape of the pencil (into ellipse for example) the whole sketching in videoscribe goes bad... do you have a solution for that?
You should mention in your video that Scribe doesn't offer partial refunds after they charge you. For example, if you sign for the annual membership and decide not to use their service any longer and request a refund for the remaining time, they will not provide a partial refund for the unused time. People should know this risk when doing business with this company. I'm not saying it anything about taking someones money a full-year in advance and offering any partial refund for unused time. It is just something people should know about this service.

When you put that house not to expand after setting the camera, still it expanded once the animation was over. Could you please assist me how to refrain that, as every time I am doing it and setting the camera after animation it expands and comes to the center.

It would also be much better to zoom in on the areas with small print when you are clicking or making selections. An hour spent with your video editor can fix this. If you're going to take the effort to make a useful video like this, why not take a bit more effort to make it a better one?

Vladimir, sorry for the late reply, but yes you can add static images without having them drawn. Just add in the image and de-select the drawing feature. You may have figured it out already, but I'll try and post a quick video.
Hi, I downloaded the free trial of videoscribe for pc. I tried to animated some of my drawings using svg format, but the videoscribe didnt generated the picture, they only appear complete in the screen from the beggining. Is this beauase is the trial version or I did something wrong? thanks
Yes, I draw the image in photoshop exported as jpeg an reopened in ilustrator and then exported as svg. Kind of messy, but didnt see the svg in photoshop or mischief( wich is the program I use for draw)
Vinit, I record the audio separately and then add the audio clip to the video. I change the timing of each slide so that it syncs well with the timing of the voiceover.

Yes, or you can use Inkscape. It is free and works great for creating SVG images.

Really awesome. I like that you did the demo on a Mac. Our company- as most creatives and graphics people in US- use the Mac almost exclusively.
Only because most people who enter such fields do not use logic based decision making.

as in, videoscribe refers to the lines as if they were shapes and sort of draws the contour of each line instead of just going over it once...

I used this software, we could not export mp4_ we can only svg when using free trial, but we can directly upload UA-cam from that
GIMP is free and works on Mac, Windows, & Linux and will allow you to draw and export as SVG.
Do you need the app idraw to customize your drawing or you can just use videoscribe to create the customize drawing? Any ideas?

Svg is not standard vector graphics format, is scalable vector graphics format. ;)

It should have nothing to do with it being a trial version. Are you certain the image file was SVG and if so, how did you create the image?

Miguel Angel Carhuayo try using inkscape (www.inkscape.org/) to create your drawing in svg format. It should work with VideoScribe.
