dear clare, sunny hellos from leipzig, germany !!! i just found you and loved your warderobe videos ( wow- you really got hooked again- so many wonderful sweaters you have done- congrats !! i appreciate it a lot, that you made the effort to try them on as well !) and over all your personality !!! and i can totally relate to your love for the clear japanese instructions : i own the knitting pattern bible from hitomi shida, and i always come back to it for some beautiful lace patternknitting- its so clear and easy while looking super complicated and intimidating;) you always mention your mom and that she is a tailor and great knitter --- do you think, she would like to be a guest to your videos one day- chatting a bit about knitting and maybe even showing some garments she made ? enjoy your sabbatical !!!
Hi Clare. Love your jumper. I use Bendigo Luxury for most of my knitting and find it softens up beautifully when washed. I really like your clever spreadsheet. I love having patterns simplified and fit to a page if I can. Lisa from southern Victoria. 🧶🤗
I am planning to do a spreadsheet-along in a future project (currently filming). It's a Kim Hargreaves pattern and I'm really struggling with her written instructions. Stay tuned.
Your sweater is beautiful! Thanks for taking us through the process. When you do a sewn bind off after twisted rib, do you sew knitwise into the back loop?
I am so happy I found your podcast! You have beautiful knits.
Thank you so much.
