Great! I’ve got the same helmet and leave for a week long road trip tmrw! Thx ❤
So does your camera point dead forward like it was mounted on the center of the chin or it’s slightly tillted to one side?
With it on the side, could you feel the weight or wind drag?
Awesome video!!! Thanks!!!
How bad does it look if your camera is a bit off center ? I can’t mount on the chin either unless it’s off center
Great video! I also have a hjc helmet and was thinking on the side would be best because of that vent on the front
Thanks Fernando. Good luck with the mount. It's the easiest. Only problem is if you shoot wide angle your shoulder will end up in frame. Ride safe and hope you subscribe! -Tripp
You can put it on right side and rotate it so it isn't upside down.
Glue its no results for securely. I try many time. But the glue plastic its stripped off
Thanks for you video on this i just got a GoPro and using a modular helmet I couldn’t find a video on how to mount it are you still using this set up or have you updated your camera set up
I’ve long since updated camera and helmet. This was the cheapest and easiest way I’d found at the time. Good luck!
I used Sugru glue and stuck the mount on the helmet. That way it more secure and no need for any tether. It’s more of less permanent so you need to be sure of the position.
You mean Super Glue?
Tripp On Two Wheels sorry I got the name wrong. It’s Sugru, a type of moldable glue silicone rubber based. It has number of uses. Available on Amazon.
Ajo Joseph Sounds interesting. I may have to check it out. Thanks Ajo!
does the camera have to be haning upside down ? Like can you configure it to be upwards using that same pivot piece?
Yes, with an adapter, or if you mount it on the other side of the helmet.
Doesn't it hit your shoulder? Can you upload a sample video if you have?
No it never hit my shoulder. Sorry, but I’m now using a chin mount. The side Mount is easiest, fastest and cheapest, but the chin mount provides a better camera perspective. Best of luck!
Chin mount on modular helmet? Isn’t that a pain?
With the GoPro pointing downward as shown in your video, didn’t it touch your shoulder?
Marco S. No it sure didn’t. Came close Though if I remember correctly.
With the camera hanging like that, did clear your shoulder?
Actually it did with plenty of room to spare. I also acquire some mount pieces so the camera will angle upright as well. Thanks for your question Tony, I hope you subscribe! -Tripp
I have a Shuberth. I hope this works
thanks
I need to understand how to flip the vid in the app I guess
So who won the go pro 7??
The helmet cameras are now old and we as viewers only see dirt ahead. We want to see the rider ride and race so it’s best to get someone to video the rider as he rides. Thats the best view. It’s 2024 so that should have invented a way to have a drone follow the bike at 10’, 15’,20’ and 25’ away and something attached to the rider so the drone knows to follow the bike and video tape the rider.
...you forgot to say to leave the mount for 24 hours to stick securely to your helmet, just saying!
Toria Summers That certainly wouldn’t hurt, but I don’t think it necessary at all with the 3M press and stick adhesive. I don’t believe it needs any sort of curing, but again it certainly can’t hurt. Thanks for your comment Tori’s. Hope you subscribe. -Tripp
Do you get voice
Sorry, I don’t understand the question.
