Wasn't the Montreal Screwjob effectively a burial? especially what they did with the Bet screwed Bret interview and Shawn sticking the knife in even further on Raw?
I agree wholeheartedly, but unfortunately Schleggdaddy still sticks to his guns that the Montreal Screwjob was a work.
I see a burial as one that cripples a wrestler's star power especially one in the making. Bret was generally ok and if WCW capitalised on him, his legend would have grown.
@Andre Bryant They would have gone in the same direction maybe a bit longer. As from 98, it was going to be the WWF winning. They had the basics covered while WCW even bangled a white hot Goldberg.
Vince is still bitter with the Hart Family about Montreal, hence the Blue Blazer gimmick for Owen, and the farting gimmick for Natalya in 2012.
PS if anyone has ever watched The Dark Side of the Ring, it talks about Owens death. Martha Hart revealed Vince tried to counter sue her.
