      Yeah, I'm always torn on that. I want the chapters to be able to stand on their own, so if you look for one thing you don't have to skip around to pick up how to do other things.
      On the other hand, at times it feels really silly to basically explain the same thing 4 times in a row in one video.

    2:39 I have 1024 hours and I just learned like 5 min ago that you can also change the pitch of the track by holding Right Click and then scrolling. Idk if this is new or not but it blew my mind. Makes building on slopes 1000% easier.

      I think (but I might be wrong) that it has been OUT of the game for a while for the exact reason you see int the video, you could basically make very high raised tracks blocking all kinds of things. The elevation you can achieve in the game now is so much lower than it is in this video

      Always good seeing people excited for new stuff!
      I do however highly suggest to try some stuff out in devbranch, you might not really get the opportunities in a "Real" war.
      Or more to the point, partisans will wreck your stuff and/or larger groups will already have placed structures at certain points on the map. Devbranch at least provides an easier more accessible way of testing some of this stuff.

    Next video could show:
    How to build track over road so it is not a speed bump slowing trucks to offroad speed.
    Switches are a pain. Switches have left/right display bug. Switches take time to use because train stops, dismount has to wait for full train stop, walk to & from switch, remount and get up to speed. You only need one track loop with facilities on both sides inside a plant.
    Track through facility plant does not need foundation.
    Using facilities on both sides of track through plant.
    How to maintain track with an amount of Garrison supplies each day. Making best use of long track sections through countryside.
    Mine train is blocked by anything on track.
    Cannot walk through connected cars but can shoot.
    Crossing hex borders with mine train.

      A more in-depth video on trains would be nice to do, but the new update is bringing a whole lot of new stuff so for now I'm pretty swamped with shooting and editing. With the chance of having to redo some things because they changed from one phase of devbranch to the next, or to live.

    • @FreerkHoltes

    Great video!
    I have some feedback tho: on the icon of the mouse which you use to indicate which mouse button needs to be pressed, the colors should be reversed. The mouse should be a flat color and the button pressed should have the color. It'd be in alignment with the "E", "Shift + E", etc... texts you show on the screen: they are colorful which means they need to be pressed.

    • @FreerkHoltes
      @FreerkHoltes  2 роки тому +2

      It seems to be an ongoing debate in my channel on what the design of the mouse buttons should be.
      I'm not sure if I will come to a solution that will satisfy everyone. I've tried different versions and I have more different sets I haven't used yet.
      For now I feel that as long as I use the words the first couple of times I use the icons it will likely carry over for the next of the video. But we'll see.

  • @ForTheOmnissiah
    @ForTheOmnissiah 2 роки тому +1

    I like the clarity of your tutorials, but after the 3rd time of explaining how to package something for cranes, or Shift+E for the multi-interaction menu, I think it's understandable at that point and adds a lot of time to a video that could be made shorter. Just constructive criticism not trying to be an ass.
    Maybe after explaining a concept like package objects, after you've explained it say "Now package the object as we did previously" to keep it brief and remove fluff.

    • @FreerkHoltes
      @FreerkHoltes  2 роки тому +1

      I do understand it from the perspective of watching the whole video or even a whole playlist. The reason I mostly do it like this is that is allows you (I hope) to just skip to the relevant chapter and get the info you need there, and not having to go back in the video to see how to do certain things. And yes, unfortunately that requires a bunch of repetition for the people who watch the whole thing.
